We know from seeing them in the background these characters were in the island but in the last two episodes they haven’t shown up

Now this post is kind of useless because they are probably on the boat because Walkie Talkie showed up in the recent episode

Ik this is overthinking but I still would like to see some kind of headcanon or theory as to why

G’day mates, Mr. TV here. 

As you can see, I made a mockup logo for an alliance between Candle and Yin-Yang, something that I’ve been wanting to happen for a while now since I am a Yindle shipper AND I AM NOT ASHAMED! The logo is pretty simple: it’s a Yin-Yang symbol behind some purple fire with the text “Yindle” in the middle.

The name is the best part, though. I mentioned before how in universe it could just be called “Yindle” because it combines their names, BUT WE KNOW THE REAL REASON! The real reason is simply fan-service, specifically for the Yindle shippers, WE ARE SO BACK!

Anyways. I know this is pretty unrealistic, but I can imagine the alliance being like a ride or die alliance that could maybe (and this is Yindle copium here) lead to a Yindle  romance arc.

And considering Candle has already helped Yin-Yang grow as a person, this alliance wouldn’t really focus on them constantly fixing each other’s problems, it would focus on them ruling the game. And if my Fallen Angel persona concept for Candle also happened, THESE TWO WOULD BE AN ABSOLUTE MENACE TO THE COMPETITION!

Also, can you imagine if just like how Silver Spoon got his own inner flame, Yin-Yang also got his own inner flame, with black and white glowing eyes and a black flame behind them? BECAUSE THAT WOULD GO SO HARD!

Look, I know I’m cooking with delusional with this alliance, BUT LET ME COOK?

What do you guys think of the logo? And would you want Candle and Yin-Yang to form an alliance in II4, whether romantically or platonically?

I fear I'm gonna get downvote bombed for this, but I really don't favor IIIV's writing. (No hate to the writers themselves, of course.)

The main problem I fear is the focus.

The whole reason people wanted another season of II was to give focus to smaller characters; Characters who were eliminated early in their seasons or didn't have time to shine in the show. Maybe Tissues, or Bomb, heck even someone like Pickle.

Yet, they still picked fan-favourites. Sure, everyone loves Goo, Lightbulb, Taco, and more, but there are still so many other characters who NEEDED their focus.

And even THEN, the contestants who FINALLY got their focus tend to stay in the shade. When have you seen Tea Kettle, or maybe Lifering, get recent development?

In the newer episodes so far, IIIV 6, 7, 8, thankfully, have given focus to these characters, heck, IIIV 6 has every object that has competed have at least one speaking role, but that's not the point.

Even the eliminated contestants are overshadowed. Most have altogether left the cast, and Jack and Goo are the only eliminated ones left, and I don't think Goo even helped a team in IIIV 8. (Did Goo even speak this episode??)

Also, it's really difficult to keep track of the show in general. I heard that, apparently. Sometimes, you can't even tell who's competing or not.

G’day mates, Mr. TV here. So, after some self-reflection, I’ve come to the conclusion that I might have been a little TOO harsh on Silver Spoon. Yes, pull out the champagne, y’all! The slander is over! 🥂

Okay, before anyone starts celebrating, let me clarify something. I still have plenty of problems with this man, but don’t worry, it’s a minor misdemeanor.

Because here's the thing: I think I actually LIKE Silver Spoon as a CHARACTER, just not as a PERSON. And I like to clarify that for most of this, I’ll be referring to his early-to-mid Invitational self, because his current characterisation is starting to move away from that behaviour (well, I have my doubts, but we’ll see)

One thing I was blinded to see is that Silver Spoon is an incredibly entertaining character. The ego, the entitlement, the dramatic reactions, the way he can make a situation ten times worse because he simply CANNOT humble himself for five seconds… LIKE, BRO, PLEASE TAKE A SEAT!

However, and I know this sounds like a contradictory, but the very things that make him entertaining are ALSO the things that make me want to launch this man into the sun. 

Like, I can appreciate a character being an arrogant, entitled little drama machine without wanting to deal with someone like that IRL. Silver Spoon is genuinely funny, has an incredibly entertaining dynamic with other characters, and can create some GREAT storytelling opportunities precisely because of his flaws, but that doesn’t mean I’d actually want to tolerate his behaviour in real life. 

And honestly, I think THAT’S the distinction I failed to make for a while. I was so focused on how much I disliked his behaviour that I started treating his flaws as reasons to dislike him as a character, when those flaws are literally a massive part of what makes him interesting in the first place.

So, yeah. I’m officially moving Silver Spoon from F TIER to somewhere around B TIER. NEVER thought I’d be saying that, considering how much I’ve been dragging this man through the mud. Bro went from being one of my least favourite characters to someone I can actually appreciate from a writing perspective. Character development? For ME? In THIS economy?! And to clarify, B tier means that he is a great character, heck maybe even a favourite of mine in terms of writing. He’s not my favourite yet he’s also NOWHERE NEAR AS BAD AS I USED TO THINK HE WAS!

However, this does NOT mean I’m suddenly a Silver Spoon apologist, or that my previous takes have magically vanished into the void. Far from it, mates. Most of my core opinions are still standing strong, locked in, and not budging an inch.

First off: Silvercandle is still a massive NO in my book.

Look, I know that Silver Spoon, even if it’s off screen, is currently going through some character development, but i’mm sorry, but putting them together romantically just does not sit right with me. For a good portion of Invitational, Silver Spoon was arrogant, manipulative, and treated her like his personal therapist/stepping stone, and despite him currently having some character development, I still can’t trust him with her. Matter of fact, I feel like Silver Spoon would genuinely make a pretty horrible partner. Candle deserves so much better than being tethered to a self-obsessed utensil who needed an entire existential crisis just to figure out that other people have feelings.

And while we’re on that topic: Yin-Yang deserves Candle WAY more than Silver Spoon ever could. YINDLE NATION, RISE  UP!

Fight me on this, but Yin-Yang’s dynamic with Candle is actually way more wholesome and genuine than anything Silver Spoon ever brought to the table. Candle was the one who actually sat down with Yin-Yang, taught them balance, and helped them navigate their inner turmoil. And you know what? Yin-Yang actually listened! They have genuine mutual respect, and Candle’s calming aura genuinely balances out their chaotic energy in the most wholesome way possible. And if they become a couple (and I’m praying for it as we speak), the potential is insane!

Now, onto the biggest elephant in the room, and yes, I’m addressing the recent take that got me dragged across the subreddit: Silver Spoon shouldn't become a better person.

So I basically said that Silver Spoon honestly shouldn't become a better person and that a reformed Silver Spoon would be boring, sanitized, and strip away everything that makes him iconic in the first place, and boy, did I receive some thoughts.

Take u/AdorableBumblebee962, for example, who came in swinging and rightfully called me out for having completely backwards logic. And look, I hear you, I really do! And for those who don’t know, the reason why he said that is because I mentioned how I find his negative traits to be entertaining yet I also find his mean self infuriating. And honestly? This comment is the reason why I made this post, so thank you for exposing me.

And u/sleepy_kusanagi, who made a really solid point: for my take to actually happen, the writers would basically have to throw out all the character development he’s gotten so far and regress him straight back to his early-to-mid Invitational personality.

And look, from a strict writing standpoint, they’re totally right. Resetting a character’s progress is usually a cardinal sin in storytelling. You don’t just hit the “factory reset” button on an arc without making the audience feel like their time was completely wasted.

However, in my humble opinion? Early-to-mid Invitational Silver Spoon was, hands down, the peak version of this character. Was he a toxic, insufferable nightmare? Absolutely. But the sheer entertainment, the narrative momentum, and drama he brought to the table was unmatched! And if he does relapse, the storytelling potential would be absolutely astronomical. 

So while I understand that throwing away his redemption arc sounds completely counter-intuitive on paper, I just can’t help but miss the chaotic energy of the snooty, scheming aristocrat who genuinely believed he was God’s gift to the earth.

Now it’s time to ask the question: Who the actual heck IS my least favourite character now?!

If I’m being brutally honest with you guys, I genuinely have no bloody clue.

That’s the dilemma of hyper-fixating on your absolute favourites (shoutout to Candle and Yin-Yang, the goats) and spending the rest of your time relentlessly dunking on your number one opp. I’ve spent so much time dragging Silver Spoon through the wringer that I haven’t really sat down and properly analysed where the rest of the cast lands on my radar. Now that the spoon has climbed up into B tier, my F tier is sitting completely vacant, and my brain is drawing a total blank.

So, I reckon I need to do a full Inanimate Insanitycharacter tier list sometime soon, even if it means that the worst character is in C tier because if I’m being honest, I don’t really have a character in Inanimate Insanity who I really hate anymore.

Like, nobody else in the cast has ever triggered that kind of visceral, launch-into-the-sun hatred out of me. Sure, there are characters I find boring, underwhelming, or a bit grating at times, there isn’t really a character who I dislike or even genuinely despise enough to slap down into F or D tier.

Anyway, that’s my peace offering to the subreddit. Feel free to roast me in the comments… or congratulate me. Whatever floats your boat, honestly. Just don't go thinking I’ve traded in my Yindle flag for a silver-plated spoon, because that is NEVER happening.

Inanimate insanity IV is a pretty good season, with some phenomenal episodes, however, there is a glaring issue that has been at the back of my mind.

The eliminations aren't as impactful anymore.

In III, there was always suspense on who would go, teammates and friends would strategize to keep each other in the game, and there were points where I thought Silver Spoon, Cabby, and Balloon, would all be eliminated, and these guys were our final 3.

In IV, the eliminations feel like formality the team needs to get through, not a climactic moment.

Let's take GBOBL's most recent elimination, Spikey. It was BORING!!!

Spikey messes up, Spikey gets eliminated. Now this isn't bad in and of itself, it kind of works for Goo because it's of his overall aloofness getting the best of him and the fact he gets focus on his antics. Like it really clicks at the end of episode 7 of IV that Goo got out because of his documentary. He wasn't doing anything and messed around.

This doesn't work for episode 8 because Spikey barely got ANY FOCUS!

He messes up the lights, and then he's the obvious vote, and then gets out. This shouldn't have been so simple.

For instance, Trophy should've been in more risk. In III, often two characters will be the main targets of a vote. Instead of mentioning it DURING THE VOTING CEREMONY, make Spiky and Bones talk after the challenge ends about how in danger Spiky is and how they are annoyed with Trophy.

This is where being able to plan out eliminations should really shine in II, because Spiky and Bones are already shown to be annoyed with Trophy in episode 5, along with Trophy kind of messing up the spotlight and irritating Spiky in episode 7. Simply add some more Trophy sass in episode 6 and then make Trophy a bit more irritated at Spiky in episode 8, and then it would be more obvious why the two would target the loveable loser.

So, after the challenge, Spiky and Bonesaw realize they are the most in danger, and especially Spikey due to the lights incident. So, they decide to target Trophy and bring up to Box and Lifering how they should vote him because of how rude he's been(which would work for his character).

Lifering agrees, because it really doesn't make sense for him to vote for Spikey when he is the one who is notorious for accidentally messing things up and would empathize with his mistake. He would likely vote Trophy, but to give him more of a reason make Trophy be a bit ruder to him in episode 4 when he shuts down his idea. Make Trophy a bigger target rather than a slightly tone-deaf joke.

Box is the key here, we need a scene with Box actually vibing with Trophy, because for so long, she has not had a single positive interaction with him other than after she votes with him for some reason. If anything, episode 7 makes her someone who would vote for Trophy in an instant, because she really connected with Spikey last episode.

Let's say Box still emphasizes with Spikey, but Trophy and Box have a scene akin to Magnet and Pepper, where Trophy tries to invite her to a ride or something after their attraction is done but he doesn't do it normally because he's an idiot. In the end you could have them vibing and show that hey, Box actually likes Trophy(this would also have more set-up than Magnet and Pepper, who kind of had a bit of a heel turn from enemies to crushes in like 2 episodes).

Anyway, we get to the elimination, Trophy tells Box that Spikey is the obvious vote, and then Box tells him Spikey barely has had a chance to play, with Trophy saying its the same for all of them. They all never really got a chance to play, including him. Box tells him that Spikey wants him out and Trophy doesn't take that well, leading to the scenes where Trophy keeps telling the team that Spikey is the obvious vote here.

Anywho, we then involve Suitcase. Confused, Box goes to ask Suitcase for advice for how to vote, and Suitcase replies to vote for who you want to go/stay, not based on what others tell you to do.

Then we hit the elimination. Bonesaw tells Spikey to spin the wheel, it lands on red, so his vote is just removed and he gets an extra vote, which momentarily worries them until they consider that they should have Box and Lifering on their side. Trophy chooses not to spin the wheel because he thinks that Spiky must be the one to get eliminated for literally ruining the challenge for them and loudly makes this known for the third time. Everyone except Box gives him a bad look.

The first and second votes are for Trophy, as before and he screams as usual. Then Spikey gets a vote, plus the extra vote he got from the wheel. They are tied, and then there's one last vote.

It's for Spikey.

Spikey looks around with a sad look on his face, and Trophy breathes a sigh of relief and looks a Box with a warm smile. Box is holding her arm and looks at Spikey, who is dejected and looks down. Bonesaw gives Box a bad look. Trophy thanks Box for not voting him and says he would've screamed if he got out. Box doesn't respond. Bot jumps in with her line as usual.

As they leave, Trophy attempts to talk to Box again, and Box cuts him off, saying. "You're on thin ice, Trophy. You got lucky. If Spikey hadn't spun the wheel, you would've been eliminated.

I like you, Trophy, but I'm not the only person on this team who you need to impress."

Then she leaves. We cut back to Fan and Test Tube and the rest of the episode goes as planned.

I like this version because the elimination is really reminiscent of season 3 of Inanimate Insanity, where the eliminations were supposed to be the suspenseful end to every episode. In this version the characters actually get to strategize before the vote and it really sets the stage for the team new dynamic going forward.

Trophy needs to fix his attitude, Bonesaw and Box are going to have a falling out, and Lifering is really confused.

It makes what is now a kind of aimless team into a really plot driven one.

The fact that every episode is given a different kind of theme is Loki sick. it’s really cool that we are really playing around with the world of inanimate insanity. If we were to just stay in the same inanimate island area, then things would definitely get really boring, but since we already know everything about it, they get to play around more. And to be honest if this year we actually have a more consistently upload schedule every month then I think this season is gonna turn out to be one of the best. I’m also looking forward to meeting new characters and giving the show of fresh new start.
