Short Film Lead actor in a new 16 minute psychological thriller, looking for straight feedback on the acting
youtube.comDeclaring my interest up front: I am the lead actor in this film, not the director. It is called Curtain Call, directed by Garrett Lee Pollack, and it went up on YouTube on 15 October. I play Theo, and the film stays close on my character for most of the runtime. What I am after is the feedback friends will not give you. Does the performance hold you for the full 16 minutes, and if it loses you, where? Any moment where the character stopped being believable? Full film: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rm_QrlNm3s4 — I will read every reply. It is also on Letterboxd: https://letterboxd.com/film/curtain-call-2026-2/

youtube.comI'm mostly a musician, but now trying to explore cinematic videos to support the message, approaching it as a short film rather than a music video. Here's the latest one, please grill it proper. What works, what doesn't, etc. Thank you!

How To Shoot A Feature Film In Four Days For Less Than $100K
amauteur.substack.comLost Cause is a feature-length meta-musical. Total runtime (including end credits) is just under 85 minutes. 11 original songs are intercut with (and comment on) the narrative. We shot everything in four days with a small cast and crew of all-stars.
Here’s how we did it.

Short Film Just released my new dark comedy short film, MEIN SURNAME. It’s about a guy whose surname is Hitler.
youtu.beHello,
I wrote, directed and produced this film independently and as per the title I just released it.
It follows a man called David J. Hitler, who has a problem. A pretty obvious one. Burdened by his notorious surname, he sets out to prove he’s a good person, but quickly discovers that redemption is a harder sell than infamy.
The film takes a lot of inspiration from the 90s style comedies I grew up with, particularly Wayne’s World, Friday, Kingpin and The Big Lebowski.
If you’d like to watch the trailer first, you can find it here: https://youtu.be/p0lE9VgXZJU
If anyone has the time to watch I’d appreciate any thoughts.
Cheers!

Trailer New Indie film pilot on YouTube
youtu.beWe just released our independent pilot episode, Farpoint: The Dream Police, and it’s now available to watch for free on YouTube.
This was a completely independent production made by a passionate crew, from development and pre-production all the way through production, post, and release. We put a lot of work into the world, locations, production design, cinematography, and overall visual style, and we’re really proud of what the team was able to create.
We’d love to hear from other filmmakers and film lovers.
Thanks for giving an independent project a chance!

Trailer The Suspect Short Film Teaser-Psycholocial Drama
The Suspect Short Film Teaser-Psycholocial Drama
Hi everyone! I’m a newer filmmaker, writer, aspiring producer and actor currently developing The Suspect, a psychological drama proof of concept inspired by real-world stories.
Teaser: https://youtu.be/PDgWh0rBw0U?is=wpWhAYCgsGKO-YS7
It follows a mother whose two children go missing. What begins as a search for the girls gradually shifts as detectives begin questioning whether their mother knows more than she’s telling them.
We filmed the core performances last year with a wonderful cast and crew, and I’m now finishing the additional visuals and post-production.
This is my first time stepping this deeply into the filmmaker/producer side of a project, so I’d love to connect with other indie filmmakers and hear what you think of the teaser.
Teaser: The Suspect
I’m especially interested in creating narrative work inspired by real events that can also bring awareness to issues people sometimes overlook.

Animation Can you help me evaluate this project?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This is a short piece from an audiovisual project I’ve been working on using Unreal Engine, Blender, Adobe Substance, and DaVinci Resolve.
The idea is to create visuals for music I’m planning to release, while gradually building a mythology around them that can also inspire the music itself.
I’m not a formally trained 3D artist; I’ve simply been working on this for some time, and with social media becoming increasingly saturated with AI, I honestly find it difficult to judge how this kind of work reads anymore.
Before I start rendering/editing more complex scenes, I’d like to know if the idea itself creates any interest at such an early stage.
Also, any thoughts on the editing/color grading in particular? The intention was to use warmer amber tones for the scenes related to her creation, in contrast with colder tones for the renders, where there are brief glimpses of the Detail Lighting before a short reveal of the final skin textures.
I know this video is ambiguous. The original idea was to suggest that her appearance is fictional by showing moments of her being drawn. It’s experimental, and later videos will show more of the process and more of her interacting with the world around her.
At this point, I’d mainly like to know if there’s already something here worth continuing, if anything needs to be adjusted before I go further, or even what you would personally find interesting to see from her in future videos?
\Since my own music hasn’t been released yet, this particular video uses a third-party song. Obviously not the point of the post, but here is the* YouTube channel, where I’ll be posting more of the project.
