Against the exhausting demand for brand-new music, here's a song of mine from two years ago (Oct 18 2024).
My indiepop song "Don't Belong Here" is about feeling like an outsider and of feeling disconnected/burned out from the fast pace of modern life.
It's still one of my favourite things I've ever made 🍁

Hi! We are Apple Sauce, an independent experimental progressive metal band from Italy.
After years of writing, recording, experimenting, arguing over ridiculous details, and probably making some questionable financial decisions, our second album HYBRIS is finally ready.
And we couldn't be prouder of it.
HYBRIS is an 8-track album that represents everything Apple Sauce has become: progressive metal, deathcore, electronics, rap, jazz, absurdity and whatever else we accidentally threw into the blender along the way.
The album also features Jørgen Munkeby of SHINING on saxophone on our first single, 'Nduja No Kami.
We made the album. Now we need to get it out there.
Everything we've done so far has been completely independent and self-funded.
The four of us have personally paid for the production of the album, music videos, physical CDs, merchandise and everything surrounding this release.
So far, we've invested almost €5,000 of our own money into HYBRIS and its release campaign — and we're continuing to invest in promotion every day.
We're not asking you to fund the creation of this album.
HYBRIS already exists. We made it happen.
What we're asking is for your help in giving this record the chance to reach the people who might love it.
Being an independent band today means that making the music is only half the battle. Reaching listeners around the world, creating videos, producing physical copies, getting the attention of press and media, and taking the music on stage all require resources that can quickly become overwhelming for four people funding everything themselves.
That's why we've set a goal of €5,000.
The money raised will help us with:
International promotion and advertising
Reaching new listeners through targeted campaigns, particularly in Europe, the UK, North America and Japan.
Press and media promotion
Helping HYBRIS reach magazines, radio stations, podcasts, creators and music communities around the world.
Physical CDs and merchandise
Producing physical copies of the album and Apple Sauce merchandise.
New video content
Creating more visual content around HYBRIS and its songs.
Taking HYBRIS on stage
Building a fund that can help us cover the costs of bringing Apple Sauce outside Italy and playing in front of new audiences.
Why are we doing a GoFundMe?
Because we've decided that we'd rather try to build this together with the people who actually care about our music than wait for someone in the industry to give us permission to keep going.
We've already put our own money, time and an unreasonable amount of energy into this record.
Now we want to see how far we can take it.
Every contribution — whether it's €5, €20, €50 or more — goes directly towards giving HYBRIS a bigger life than the four of us could give it alone.
And if donating isn't possible, sharing this campaign or our music helps us enormously too.
Thank you for listening to our music, watching our videos, coming to our shows, sharing our songs, or simply taking the time to read this.
We made HYBRIS ourselves.
Now help us bring it to the world.
— Apple Sauce

My sister and I make music together and our resources are pretty limited. We tried to not overthink this song so much because we normally do and end up hating our songs. Still, we like this song but cannot listen to the mix of it because it sounds so rough. Can someone please help us and gives us ways we can make it sound cleaner (mostly regarding vocals and drums- which is a loop)
