It's a bit weird but it's a whole lot healthier then people who get toxic and try to weaponise their children against their ex.

To me it's weird that so many people on here think it's weird.

Its objectively weird. How many weddings have you been to where an ex is officiating the wedding?

While I’ve never personally seen this specific example, there are plenty of couples who split and stay very friendly. I know some who divorced but still did joint birthday parties, thanksgiving, Christmas etc, and even some where one person remarried and had another kid and their ex is a part of that kid’s life too (since they’re their child’s sibling)

“I haven’t seen it before” = weird
Kind of thinking that leads to a lot of awful world viewpoints lol

Weird != Bad. I would think it was pretty weird if I found $100 on the ground but I'd be happy about it. This picture and sequence of events is also pretty weird but it is good to see a healthy relationship like this and Tobey seems like a decent guy about it.

I would agree, though in typical conversation, and especially this thread, weird has a negative connotation. I guess there's just better ways to word it without sounding judgemental. But yes I do agree.

I've always used it pretty literally to mean something unusual or bizarre. While others might use it negatively, not many people I talk to do so it never really gave that impression. Always been a short way of saying "that is not a common occurrence in a noticeable way".

They got a divorce this year and she’s already getting remarried. Yeah, it’s all around fucking weird. A bunch of celebrities in Hollywood are straight weirdos and don’t live on the same plane of existence. The reason why most of us can’t normalize this behavior is because relationships are hard, and they’re even harder for those that aren’t privileged. Once again, we can’t compare ourselves (normal working people) with the wealthy and carefree class.

He's right, it's just common sense. Why would you bring your past partner on the spotlight on your wedding ? Isn't the focus more about the new life you're building ?

It's not objectively weird. I know tons of people, and family, who are still really good friends with their exes, especially when they have kids. It's weird to me when people end up in toxic situations after breaking up.

Did they officiate their weddings?

So the answer is 0?

Don't even bother. Ambiguity is very hard for some people. For a majority of people it's impossible for something to be grey. Everything need to be black and white. Their brains can't call this weird and still healthy.

It's called Intolerance of ambiguity in psychology. It's like they need cognitive closure when they think about the world.

Not common doesn't mean weird

How many weddings have you been to where a famous movie star is officiating the wedding?

it's not weird at all if you're a healthy functioning adult.
