MISC. A Virginia man inadvertently left his phone recording while he was under anesthesia for a colonoscopy, which captured audio of the doctors: mocking him, instructing a medical assistant to lie to him, and discussing giving him a false diagnosis of hemorrhoids. In 2015, a jury awarded him $500,000.

Makes you wonder how many times it has happened before and how many times it is still happening.

More people should inadvertently leave their phones recording.

I didn’t realize one could have a phone in the room with them while having a procedure done.

I've had 14 surgeries and each time they put all of my belongings, including my phone, in a bag and had it waiting for me in recovery.

When I got a colonoscopy they put all my stuff in a bag under the bed I was wheeled around in so it was still there while the procedure was going on. I would assume it's different if it's an actual surgery as they'd want it to be sterile.
