MISC. A Virginia man inadvertently left his phone recording while he was under anesthesia for a colonoscopy, which captured audio of the doctors: mocking him, instructing a medical assistant to lie to him, and discussing giving him a false diagnosis of hemorrhoids. In 2015, a jury awarded him $500,000.

Makes you wonder how many times it has happened before and how many times it is still happening.

I recently reported this behavior to the hospital. Aides would come into my room to talk shit about other patients. One nurse dropped a pill on the floor and still fed it to me. They would regularly avoid doing their job.

I felt what it must be like to be an elderly person, unable to move freely and relying on others. So I mostly kept my mouth shut until I was able to move and received the survey.

I also wrote about the few nurses I had who were great.

I've had a similar experience when I stayed after giving birth. It's eye opening isn't it? Thankfully, I wasn't in the hospital long, but I think of people who have to be. I also wrote about it in a survey
