How much commission for real estate agents?
Salam everyone, hope you all doing good!! I’m curious to know and learn about how much commission does real estate agents charge generally for a property purchase via them or for having a rental from them signed? Would appreciate insight from someone knowledgeable in Iranian real estate market.

People in Iran barely use Reddit
It's been forever since I've interacted with someone who lives inside Iran, I live in Qom and man I feel like everyone here just wanna scroll reels. People don't even know Reddit exists (maybe a few in Tehran but nothing in Qom)

Why Iranian driving is so, tough? How can fault be determined incase of accident?
Salam everyone,
Hope yall doing good! I was curious to know and learn why is Iranian driving seems so, tough for a westerner who plans to visit Iran 🇮🇷 ? I was planning to visit Iran in few months and the most toughest thing that actually shook me up is the driving part. I don’t see anyone following any rules while watching the videos so, was curious to know how do insurance companies in Iran determine who is at fault usually?
Has anyone born or raised from west been successful at driving in Iran while they were visiting? If yes please feel free to share your insights here!
Here’s one of the few videos I watched on YouTube:
What types of gifts and on what dates/holidays could I give a gift to my Iranian doctor?
Hello, I hope this post is acceptable.
I am an American who lives in the United States of America. One of my doctors is an Iranian immigrant. He has helped me so very much in my health, and my gratitude to him is immense. I would like to present him with a gift/thank you card. In the USA, gifts are frequently given on Christmas in a secular fashion even though it's technically a Christian holiday. I thought it'd be nice to surprise him by either (1) giving him a gift/thank you card on an appropriate Iranian holiday, or (2) giving him a "classic" Iranian gift (not sure of my terminology - something that's be very common to give in Iran but not in other countries, for example). Or both!
Thank you for any guidance you can provide.

I found this gem of a song cover for Sultan Qalbam by Liza Sakhizada and need help with some lyrics
Basically the part after the chorus deviates from the original lyrics.
I'm not a Persian speaker, but I can read & understand the context and few words. I'm lost a bit on what she's singing after the chorus.
I read the lyrics from:
https://lyricstranslate.com/en/sultan-e-qalbam-ruler-my-heart.html
From the lyrics, I can match the stanza blocks as:
1, 2, 4, X
4, 6, 7, X
4/7 is the chorus. What's X? I can't read it in the original lyrics :| . Also, I can't transcribe Persian :/
Song cover:

Really appreciate your human help, in this age of AI. I really love the lyrics of this, and would be happy to know the missing part (:

Looking for Iranian perspectives on a Persian-inspired mermaid illustration
Hi everyone!
I'm an illustrator working on a passion project called Mermaids of the World, a series of pins celebrating cultural diversity through original mermaid characters inspired by different places, traditions and stories. The image is a collection of the existing pins.
I'm currently finishing my third set which includes a Persian-inspired mermaid.
The illustration is around 95% complete, and I'd love to hear from Iranians who might be interested in providing cultural feedback.
I've researched different aspects of Persian art, history and visual traditions, but I know that cultural identity is incredibly layered and can't be fully understood through online research alone.
I'd particularly appreciate feedback on whether the character's clothing, decorative details and overall visual identity feel thoughtfully connected to Persian culture.
Are there any common stereotypes or inaccuracies I should be mindful of?
I'd also love to hear about cultural elements you personally feel deserve greater appreciation or representation.
I'm happy to share the illustration privately for feedback.
Thank you so much!

I left Iran, but a part of my heart is still there 🇮🇷❤️
I don't really know how to put this into words, but lately I've been missing Iran more than I can explain.
I went to Iran to study پزشکی , and I never imagined that one day I would have to leave and continue my education somewhere else. Circumstances took me away from a place that had slowly become so much more than just a country where I studied.
I miss everything about Iran. The culture, the food, the language, the streets, the mountains, the beautiful landscapes, the atmosphere, and all those little things that you don't fully appreciate until you're no longer there.
I miss hearing Persian around me. I miss the sound of people speaking Farsi, the expressions, the humour, and the warmth of everyday conversations. There's something so beautiful about the language, and I genuinely miss being surrounded by it.
I miss the food, too. The قرمه سبزی, the چلو کباب , the stews, the smell of freshly baked نون, and all those little places where you could get something delicious. I miss the scenery, the mountains, the changing seasons, and the feeling of simply walking around and taking everything in.
But more than anything, I miss the people.
I miss the smiles, the hospitality, the kindness of strangers, and those small moments when someone would go out of their way to help you. I miss the conversations, the warmth, and the feeling of being welcomed. Some of the most meaningful memories aren't necessarily big moments; sometimes, they're just a friendly interaction with someone you may never see again.
Iran isn't a perfect country, and like every country, it has its own difficulties. I'm not writing this to make a political statement or to pretend that everything is perfect. I just want to appreciate a place that gave me so many memories and left such a deep impression on me.
As a foreign student, I got to experience a little piece of life in Iran, and I'm genuinely grateful for that. I came there to study medicine, but I left with so much more than an education and academic memories. I left with an appreciation for a culture, a language, a history, and a people that I will always carry with me.
Sometimes, you don't realise how attached you've become to a place until life takes you away from it.
I don't know when I'll return, but I really hope I get the chance to visit again someday. I'd love to walk those streets again, eat those foods again, speak Farsi with people again, and experience that familiar feeling of being back.
To the people of Iran: thank you for the kindness, the smiles, the memories, and the moments that might have seemed ordinary to you but meant something to me.
I may have continued my education somewhere else, but a part of my heart will always remain in Iran.
دلم برای ایران تنگ شده. ❤️🇮🇷
