Switch tombworld with gallowdark and its right 😅

Having pieces marked with their numbers speeds up the process immensely (indtead of trying to identify them by looks). Also filing down connecting parts so that they fit snugly was a chore when building the thing, but now pays off. I don't have complaints about setting up my ITD board now.

Yeah, the ones we have in our club are also filled down and marked, its kinda okay now. Tomworld is still miles ahrad, no filling needed, everything fots snug together

Tomb world is a stroll in a park, I got a scar on my thumb because Gallowdark got stuck during disassembling

I think almost all my cuts from this hobby have come from terrain and chaos models stabbing me from sheer sharpness lol

Yo, so it's much easier to set up than Gallowdark but I MUCH prefer Gallowdark cause it doesn't fall like a stack of cards if bumped hey

Magnets is the solution to everything Tombworld. I magnetised everything about my set. It’s easy to set up and put away.

Poster putty is another great option. And it keeps the scatter terrain from sliding around as well.

It's really not that difficult?
It even has a handy flap in the book I tore out and put with the terrain to speed it up.
And it doesn't even need a deconstruction teaspoon like into the dark does, even having sanded it.

For me it's all the connections. They just don't stay and fall apart whether it be 10 seconds later or 10 minutes.

I don’t have that particular issue with my set. I will say I tend to be a model builder first and player second, and I was pretty careful with my prep work for the pieces. Maybe a mold line was over sanded somewhere or is too thick somewhere? I’d check over your connection points. A bit of time invested in that might massively improve your game experience

Nah, they just don't fit right. Even if you watch "pro" events it falls apart the whole time. You're def lucky though!

Tomb World could have been great. They could have made a bunch of columns and a bunch of walls. Make any configuration you want. No, they attach half columns to some of the walls. For no GD reason. Combine that with poorly casted parts, like the walls that came curved in the box, the doors that don't snug fit into openings and fall out, and you've got one janky set of terrain.

Fabricator’s lair tomb ship is my favoritebut orchitect has a very solid one that works with or without magnets (I just don’t think it looks as cool).

I agree. Its why I love the idea of Boarding actions but dont play them lol. The mission boards feel extremely tedious to set up

It’s weird how everyone is saying that Gallowdark is a pain to setup. If you label the bottom of each wall section with its reference you can setup the whole thing in 15min tops. 20 if you put the top caps.

Currently magnetizing the entire thing (every single connection point). Doing the math on how much time that saves me per set-up against how much it takes to actually magnetize it, I will only have to set it up about 2800 times for it to be worth it.

Because of tolerance or...?
I've only got Volkus and I might be a bit pretentious with the exact measurements there, but I measure out the distances from the board edge for all the pieces for the matched play pre-made layouts. Feels like with Gallowdark and Tombworld both should be much simpler to setup since walls are connected, and thus no measurements really needed.

Specific pieces only go with specific parts for the most part and when setting up the regulated maps it’s a little difficult cause half of it looks the same
