My Kindle 📱 The best of both colours
I got the kindle basic premium in sea colour, but I like the Ube colour so just got the Ube case which is top quality.

Nice! I got the graphite with the graphite case but now I kinda wish I’d gotten the ube case instead.

The cases that match the aluminum kindles are magnetic. This purple case is a match for the ube kindle, which is not aluminum, that kindle has a plastic body and would not work with a magnetic case.

I was considering this combo but thanks to this post, I see that I’d prefer a different combo after all as I’m not a fan of how they look together 😅

I don't understand the use of "aluminium" when you're just going to have it in a case, especially when it isn't waterproof or have warm light.

I hated the metal on my oasis, it was too slippery and cold, so I don't see the appeal.

Which defeats the purpose of having an aluminium kindle in the first place, that's what I'm saying, it's not worth the price.

Bueno actualmente ningún kindle vale lo que cuesta pero en el caso de los básicos alguien podría escoger el aluminio por el color y también porque viene sin publicidad. En algunos países no es posible eliminar la publicidad pagando extra

People should just stop giving Amazon money, kindle is not the only ereader around, and the kindle basic is not the cheapest ereader you can get anymore.

Screen protection. I used to use my Matcha without a case like the one OP has and because of that, it’s got hella scratches on it. For the price tag of the aluminum it’s not worth having it free-floating in bags lol

Well, yeah, it's overpriced, you'll have it in a case anyway, and if the aluminium is anything like my oasis, it will be slippery and uncomfortable to hold, and they didn't even add warm light or waterproofing for that price tag.

The aluminum feels totally different than the Oasis. Don't know what they did, but the "texture" is pleasant. Plus the size of the 2026 is just an all around more ergonomic-feeling device than the Oasis.
