Other Subject! 📚 Leaving Cert 1-to-1 tutoring €15-20 an hour

Hey everyone! I’m thinking of starting grinds for LC Geography, Home Ec, Irish and Biology

I got H2s in all four subjects, and I was only 1 mark off a H1 in Home Economics and 2 marks off a H1 in Geography! I also got 100 percent in both of my projects, and I have assisted many of my own class mates (as my teacher was absent a lot during my LC) by giving them feedback and they also got high marks in their projects too!

I’m planning on charging €15-20 an hour for now and would do one-to-one sessions, make resources/notes and help with anything you’re struggling with, whether that’s understanding a topic, exam questions or just knowing how to answer questions properly.

Honestly, when I was doing my own LC, I would’ve loved to have someone who could sit down with me, explain things properly and help me with the bits I found difficult, so I’d really love to be able to do that for other students!

I’m only starting out, but I want to make grinds affordable and actually helpful, so if anyone is interested or has any questions, feel free to message me!

not LC Don't buy studyclix

Studyclix is extremely overpriced. It costs far too much for what it is, and frankly has very little other than exam questions

Use exams.ie instead. It's completely free, and has more features than studyclix. Just on the past exam questions alone, it has the recommended time for each question, a difficulty rating, a built in timer for the question, the ability to export a question and marking scheme as a PDF, and so much more! And don't even get me started on the workbooks, quizzes, flashcards, etc.

The only downside is that the interface isn't as clean, and the colours are a bit much. But that honestly doesn't bother me much at all. Exams.ie is just so, so good. Much better than studyclix

edit: a commenter just suggested simple study, which does have some paywall limits but has tons of amazing free features. if you have any other study reasources, drop them in the comments please! id love to try them out

Business 💰🫰 Leaving Cert Business AAC survey on supermarket self service checkout

Hi guys! Im doing my business AAC on self-service checkouts impact on employees in supermarkets and I was wondering if you would fill out the survey if you work in a supermarket that has self service checkouts?

It should only take maybe 5 minutes max (obvs depending on if you write a Shakespeare essay or not) and it would be so greatly appreciated!!

Thank you in advance 💗

Irish 🇮🇪 I give up

I have assessments this whole week, today is Irish and Chemistry, I've already accepted I'm failing Irish, my teacher told us it'll be a comprehension, Uirchill and Chreagáin and one other poem we've studied, if Dínit and bhróin doesn't come up I'm done for. and I don't even have time to revise anything, exam starts at 8:50,

Edit: I think I did ok, Dínit and Bhróin came up and I filled all the answer space on the exam so fingers crossed I at least passed

not LC Should i do dentistry or hygiene x

Hey Guys, Im a 19 year old lad who just did his lc last year (506p) and I was thinking of doing dentistry abroad or instead going for hygiene in Ireland. I need to decide which to do, I dont want to take any work home with me and want to do an art buisness on the side. Im extremely sociable and people orientated. Im also really good at having an eye for detail/artistic and my fine motor skills are good. I just dont want a job with too much stress but both jobs dont seem too stressful compared to like doctors and that. Maybe im wrong im not sure! but if anyone works in these professions can you please give me advice. Im open to studying abroad for both too!

not LC Made a free theory test practice site, looking for feedback

I originally made theoryprep.ie to help my girlfriend study for her theory test. While I was at it, I realised a lot of the practice sites out there are pretty bad, putting it nicely. Full of ads, paywalled, or awkward to use on a phone.

So I cleaned it up and put it online, completely free. Practice questions and mock tests for the Irish theory test, no paywall.

If you’re doing yours soon, give it a go and let me know what you think. If anything’s wrong or annoying, tell me and I’ll fix it.

not LC People who initially hated their course did you end up liking it?

I struggled through the leaving cert but somehow managed to get my first choice via dare (art history so not very impressive ig). It’s exactly like I thought it would be except I’m really not enjoying it as much as I should. Often I just get up at leave my lectures after 30 minutes because they’re so boring. My parents don’t want me to drop out though cuz they think I just need more time to settle in before I know how I feel but the deadline to withdraw from Trinity to get my money back is the end of October. Did anyone else feel this way and end up liking it after they stayed?

Hi,

I made a website where I have all my scripts from LC 2026 uploaded! You can download and view them for free. I got a H1 in all subjects and have included percentages and my mark breakdowns for each. Hope this helps somebody ❤️

Any resource requests (eg notes) shoot me a DM and I’ll see if I can help (though Im quite flat out with college atm).

Best of luck in sixth year!!!

Reddit blocks links so here is a word doc with the website link inside: Website link
