Man, I wish they could bring back Model Team. And while they're at it, I wish they could have also released a Model Team airplane, too.

I have a visceral reaction seeing that set again. I pined after it so long as a kid! Model team was so great.

this is a great set and theme. I have the f1 car and the rally van still in my collection.

Yours is in pristine condition, bravo. Mine has been kept for ages at my parents place, and unfortunately most white pieces turned into some grey/yellow ish color (my dad’s a smoker). I have other MTs which color also degraded (a white and yellow van, a white boat, and a black van with its boat) but not as bad as this one. Thankfully I still have the blue roadster, which is still in perfect condition and as such naturally found its place in my office :

The other side does have some wear and tear. Not bad though.

I still have it. One of the few things I still have from childhood together with this one:

Still have this! And F1, black truck with helicopter, and the yellow jeep. Iconic series, the model team, especially at that day and age, these set were mindblowing.

Reminds me of the Porkchop Express......"Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

I still have my 5571 set. I really liked the Model Team series, I wish it would be revived.

Ooooh, Goosebumps!
That was my very first set! It was for my 10th birthday or so (around 1988).
I lost it.

This was my first dream set ever when I got into Lego. Sadly, never managed to get it or the black one that came years after.

I had the Model Team van. Always wanted the truck with the plane on a trailer.

At least you don't have to pay for diesel.

True that :)

I remember building that model just using the catalog they used to release every year as a reference. I used parts from other models, something impossible to do now.

I remember wanting this set so badly as a kid. We were poor. No way could my mom afford it. I think I shall buy it for myself

I never had this one but I have fond memories of seeing it in the catalogs, and thinking the colorful stripes were especially cool.
