Question My local Lego store moved recently, and apparently Lego just left all the fixtures behind???
I pretty much expected anything other than this for a company this big...

It's October already!
SpOOky season has begun! Or as some Lego fans like to call it, "MOCtober" is here. This is my favorite time of year to build, because it means getting out the Halloween sets and starting those pre-build plans for the Winter Village. Autumn is also a great time to attend Lego shows, so check out your local Lego Groups to see if they are participating in a Convention, Festival or Hobby Show nearby.
Let us know what's on your mind this month. What have you always wondered about? What rule do you want clarified, or changed? Do you have any suggestions you've been trying to find a chance to make? I won't promise that we will make the change(s) you want, but I will commit to explaining the reason we have the rules and policies we have.

EDIT, Thank you everyone for the relatable, kind and also harsh reality checks. I needed all of it and am very grateful for everyone who took the time to share
TLDR adult collector since childhood no longer wants to keep up on collecting, looking for similar stories and advice ❤️
I want to start off with this is not a for sale post and does not break any of the stated rules,
I’ve been collecting Lego a long time since I was a little kid, and the older I get the less time I have for it, it’s started to become more of a game of trying to make sure I buy everything when it’s available to make sure I don’t have to pay 20 times the amount the second it retires. This hobby to me has just become trying to keep up, and with legos shift towards more adult sets and much higher prices it’s just not sustainable anymore. The hobby I loved has just become a stress to me. I’ve got so many sets in backlog it’s just become depressing to look at. I work so much and never have time to even build them.
Sounds more like a job problem than a Lego problem but then what? Find better work life balance to build more Lego? Thats silly to me, A lot of loss has happened in my life this year and I’ve realized how little time I have to do the things I want. I’m very in love with nature and it is my peace and I’d like to dedicate more time to visiting the national parks as I’ve been doing the last several years and I’ve come to conclusion it’s time to move on from this.
Has anyone gotten to this point where they realized Lego no longer fits into their life and does anyone have any advice on selling such a large collection. I’m not looking for value on them I’m looking for quick moving. Thank you all in advance :)

This is a special one for me as I've always wanted to build one from all the way back in 2023, and I had started the wings and some other parts but due to a lack of experience at the time I wasn't able to finish it and I had the model uncomplete for the next 3 years until now.
Now its fully finished and I'm incredibly satisfied with how good its looking and I hope I did this amazing plane justice with this model!
As with all my models the plane is feature packed with a moving rudder, flaps, ailerons, leading edge flaps, canards, retractable landing gear, and a retractable tailhook. It comes equipped with 2 underwing fuel tanks, 2 AASM Hammer 1000-kg bombs, 2 MICA EM missiles and 2 Matra R550 Magic 2 missiles. The cockpit also fits a minifig. The only thing I'm a bit bummed on is missing out on the opening canopy but other than that I got all the features of this plane nailed down, even the slight anhedral on the wings!

Dolphins -> Brachiosaurus!
Made it decently posable despite the lack of joint parts, though the neck looks a bit wonky when the head is down.

I've been designing pretty advanced MOCs for years, and one trend I have noticed over time is that original green - despite being one of Lego's earliest colors - is actually very difficult to accommodate in MOCs.
As an example, I design a lot of steam locomotives, and those - by nature - use a great deal of curved slopes. And if the locomotive I am modeling is green (and so many of them [especially European ones] are), I always have to pause at the outset and ask "do I really want to do this to myself again?"
Because while I can absolutely count on being able to find the parts I will need in, say, dark red, or dark blue, or even - increasingly - flame yellowish orange... green part variety remains almost startlingly restricted.
I get that if Lego doesn't need a piece in a particular color, it isn't going to get made. But it feels like green frequently never gets selected - that years and years go by for pieces appearing in a rainbow of alternatives, but not green. And, given how common it is as a color in our world, that leads me to naturally ask: why? Why does original bright green seem to be such an odd man out?

Idk if I should put it on Hal Jessica or Simon.
And is the sword cooler hovering like that as it doesn’t have a hilt so it looks kinda odd in their hands.

My daughter got a box of random Lego parts from the brick store at LEGOLAND FL. She made this and calls it a “sanctuary”. What do you think?

Powered by Power Functions hub and motor in the "trailer". Goal is to build physically sometime next year and create instructions.

I converted a Chrome Crusher before, now its the Tunnel Transport's turn!
Instead of using a magnet, it uses two pins to hold the container or city space modules in place.

Despite all of the negative reactions I've seen, I actually had a blast building this set. Very excited to see how it displays next to my Gringotts!

Finally got (three) of the best bane figures Lego ever made. just needed this one to round off my entire dc collection. Either way, I don’t see Lego making another one of these, which is downright sad. Do you guys think they will ever make another DC bigfig in general?

The recent Downton Abbey set inspired me to assemble a group of turn of the century/Edwardian Era minifigures that will accompany with an upcoming project, but I realised they also go perfectly with my Titanic model!
I just wish there were more hairstyles that include big hats similar to the ones that were all the rage in that period!

The details are top notch. I got it on EBay with box and instructions for £160. Bargain! As I’m coming from Brittany I wanted something that reminds me my region where I come from in France.

Great figure from a great line! Monster Fighters is a classic theme at this point. Absolute tragedy that the zombie set was and is so hard to get. Ghost train is easily one of the best in the whole line.
