Introduction

Hello Masters Builders, and welcome to the official r/lego Open Forum post. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think of r/lego, make suggestions or comments about the rules, ask open questions about the community, or share whatever else is on your mind.

Note that this post is for discussion of r/lego itself. If you have a general question about something related to Lego, make a post instead of asking here.

---

IMPORTANT

All subreddit rules are still in effect here. Remember that we do not allow insults, name calling or personal attacks. If you've got a complaint or want to tell us you hate something, you need to do it without attacking anyone.

---

Rule Changes

There are no permanent rule changes to report this month.

This month, we once again have a Megathread for the lastest wave of the Bricklink Designer Program. If any creators want to promote their entries, they may do that in the megathread. Posts about BDP outside of the megathread will be removed.

---

Subreddit Transparency Report

Reddit supplies Moderators with a monthly Community Digest, summarizing subreddit moderation activities. We are making the information available to the community, as an exercise in public transparency.

Each month, we will be posting a transparency report that shows what goes on behind the scenes of r/lego. Below you will find the report for activity in September 2026. You can give general feedback and post questions about the report in the comments of this post, or in modmail.

It's October already!

SpOOky season has begun! Or as some Lego fans like to call it, "MOCtober" is here. This is my favorite time of year to build, because it means getting out the Halloween sets and starting those pre-build plans for the Winter Village. Autumn is also a great time to attend Lego shows, so check out your local Lego Groups to see if they are participating in a Convention, Festival or Hobby Show nearby.

Let us know what's on your mind this month. What have you always wondered about? What rule do you want clarified, or changed? Do you have any suggestions you've been trying to find a chance to make? I won't promise that we will make the change(s) you want, but I will commit to explaining the reason we have the rules and policies we have.

Grandpa, did you have LEGO when you were a kid?

We did, honey, but we had to make our own pop-culture LEGO minifigs based on third-party IPs. Back then, LEGO didn't license the hell out of everything. Oh, sorry, don't tell your parents I said that.

I was dusting this morning and found this "alien parasite" hiding in the back of the shelves. I made it years ago, along with some other characters from that episode, but this one's my favorite of that bunch.

758 down, ~370+ to go! My quest to collect every unique molded LEGO animal (by mold, color, and print variant). I'm keeping track using Bricklink wanted lists and the collection feature. Anybody else also collecting these?

This was my first ever large ish Lego set, all my old toys got binned or sold but the Lego box remained in a dark corner of the loft for 35 years. Pulled it out of my garage today to see if I had all the pieces for this one and #928, most but sadly not all. Was fun though, amazed how much of it had survived

Hey I would like to know if any brickheads could tell me more about the collection my girlfriends grandma has. She says she got her son got them for Christmas through his younger years, but he never played with them, they've been sitting on top of the kitchen cabinet ever since so I'm guessing a couple decades. It's out of the sun, it is covered in dust but the figures and printing looks pristine (to me)

Can y'all tell me about these sets? Thanks
