Hey everyone,
I'm hitting a brick wall with a persistent crash in Maya 2024.2 while trying to run an Arnold **Render Sequence** (happens on both CPU and GPU).
**The Symptoms:**
* If I create a brand new, empty scene with basic primitives and materials, it renders flawlessly.
* When I try to render my existing production project file, Maya completely freezes or crashes straight to desktop the exact moment the render sequence initializes.
**The Crash Log / Stack Trace:**
The crash dump points directly to an **ACCESS_VIOLATION** (illegal read at address `0x00000019`) inside `OGSRender.dll`:
* Exception code: `C0000005: ACCESS_VIOLATION`
* Fault address: `ADDC3925` in `C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Maya2024\bin\OGSRender.dll`
Key call stack lines:
* `OGSRender.dll: OGSTextureManager::RegisterKeepAlive`
* `OGSMayaBridge.dll: TdrawingChangeManager::textureTilingCacheChangedCB`
* `RenderModel.dll: TdnFileTexture::getExactTextureName`
* `.../arnoldRender.py", line 61, in arnoldSequenceRender`
It looks like Maya's texture manager or the Viewport core completely loses its mind when Arnold tries to resolve or clear the texture tiling cache for this specific file.
**My Specs:**
* Maya 2024.2 (Build 202511121304)
* Windows 10 Pro
* CPU: i7-9700KF @ 3.60GHz
* RAM: 16 GB
* GPU: GTX 2060 (6 GB VRAM)
* Driver: NVIDIA Studio Driver 617.42
**What I've already tried (none of this worked):**
Switched Viewport 2.0 to DirectX 11.
Changed Material Loading Mode from Parallel to Immediate.
Disabled "Abort on Error" in Arnold Diagnostics.
Unchecked "Add to Render View" in the Render Sequence options.
Imported the broken scene into a completely fresh, blank scene file.
Optimized Scene Size and wiped unused nodes via Hypershade.
Saved as .ma (Maya ASCII) and re-opened.
Nuclear option: Reset Maya preferences (renamed the prefs folder).
Since the stack trace points directly to `TtextureTilingCache::clear` and `getExactTextureName`, it’s definitely a corrupted node or texture path specific to this file, but I can't figure out how to isolate or find it since the scene won't even start rendering.
Has anyone dealt with this specific `OGSRender.dll` texture registration loop crash before? Any hidden tricks to force Maya/Arnold to skip or flush whatever is causing this?
Thanks a ton in advance!
