I imagined it would be something like that but I don't understand why they mentioned votes. Is increasing immigration supposed to be a vote winner? As far as I can tell it's the opposite.
I can only speak for the UK. Essentially, left wing parties thrive on mass migration with no vetting. Rather than "lets just have skilled people coming here", they have the attitude of "let everyone come here", which in turn has seen crimes like sexual assault and rape skyrocket.
Recently the very far left Green party came out and signed a mandate of "anti zionism" which is the simple way for them to be "anti-jew" in order to appease the muslim vote, who flock to them under the "free palestine" movement
Bear in mind, a decade ago the green party was one that had a single goal - removal of carbon emissions and other green policies (hence the name). They realised they can farm the muslim vote by being pro mass migration and anti jewish, and their stance worked, membership is up 300% in the space of 5 years.
They're still too small to get in power but big enough to influence things on a local level (which is everything but green energy now)
But the Green Party isn't responsible for the mass immigration of the last decades. That was the Conservatives who all the while campaigned on anti-immigration.
