Surprisingly not, it's just a change to the game's colour scheme that can even be used alongside ReShade.

I think this is why you can pretty much scale mountains in Death Stranding. Beautiful game but this was my least favorite aspect to it.

As much as i love how smooth movement is in this game, as much i hate that terrain traversal and cover system are practically unbearable.
