Ruined by Technology Youtube replacing comments with AI summary

Post image

Sliding the comment card left and right both shows AI crap instead of just the comments. Just give me human interactions ffs.

I have no problem with AI and use it for work, but i don't need it shoved down my throat at every opportunity.

Then you do have a problem with it.

It's being shoved down your throat at every opportunity.

There are genuinely use cases where it's useful - automatic summaries of meetings, crawling through a large amount of text and looking for a particular thing, etc.

Acknowledging that does not mean one can't also dislike the use elsewhere.

using it for work you've helped to normalise its use which encourages ai companies to force it down everyone elses throats. don't use it, or don't complain about what they're doing, make your choice

So using a LLM like ChatGPT for work makes Google put it everywhere, does it? Ooookay..... the only choice I need to make is to ignore you.

You cannot expect anything more than a strict dichotomy here at Reddit. It’s either you love AI at everything ever or you don’t, period. And then they go “I have drawn you as a sweaty chud and myself as a based chad” unironically. They cannot comprehend the simple fact that people can use AI for productivity while disliking where it’s used elsewhere.

Spoken like a true unemployed Redditor in their mom’s basement.
