Passenger manspreading into my space on a flight then acts like I inconvenienced him🤷‍♀️

I early 20F sat in the middle seat next to a male on my flight. I had no issue with this however he was literally manspreading into my space. His leg was stretched out into my leg space and when I tried to give him hints to move he completely ignored me. He was very much taking up my space and making me feel crazy like this cannot be happening.

After a bit of not picking up my subtle hints I told him to move. To which he looked at me like I had significantly inconvenienced him. He then gave a slight eye roll and moved finally giving me space.

Some people will never get this. Until I see a significant shift, my sexism is very valid. The sexism isn't equal in harm.

Our sexism is, omg we hurt their feelings and say "all men." They don't have room to feel their feelings. "We can't read women's minds."

Their sexism is, we get paid less, we have less medical research, more rape, family annihilation, less representation, less autonomy, regulations over our bodies...I could go on.

Be the change you want to see in the world. You can’t complain about sexism while you actively participate and contribute to it.

“My problems are worse so yours are invalid” is a shit mentality btw. Women’s problems are absolutely far more important and sexism towards men is hardly an issue, especially in comparison, but that doesn’t mean men should be invalidated and discriminated against. Just because some gross men are sexist doesn’t mean it’s ok for you to be, it just makes you another gross person.

I’m on your side and consider myself a feminist, I 100% agree with all your issues and those do need to be addressed, I feel for you and all women, but I don’t see why men have to be invalidated to do so. We’re all people, we should all treat each other as equals. My main thing is equality across all people.

Adding fuel to the fire by participating in sexism doesn’t help anybody, you’re just completing the opposite end of the cycle and keeping it going.
Even if you invalidate and discriminate men, I’ll still support women because it’s the right thing to do. Can’t let others stop you from that, and being discriminatory to any type of people for any reason isn’t right

The world isn’t just black and white, no matter how much you wish to simplify it so it’s easier for you to comprehend. There are complex shades of grey that you’re putting in a box of black or white, which is sad and unfair to those people.
