Yeah I do usually tip bartenders if I’m not just buying a beer or if I’m sitting down at the bar making conversation.

If you buy a beer from the bar, you sometimes don’t tip? Always tip an extra $1 for that unless the bartender is extraordinarily rude while they serve you

I do not care if it is rude. You do not deserve a dollar for turning around and handing me a beer.

Plus, the scenario I had in mind was a bottle. I would be more inclined if it was tap.

Sorry, you said you never tip for a beer. I guess we live different lives because I will almost always order drafts at bars instead of bottles/cans, for a similar reason you’re getting at
