From a scientific standpoint, it is theoretically possible to transform something like a walnut into glass. Everything in the universe is made of atoms, and the properties of materials depend on which elements are present and how their atoms are arranged and bonded. A walnut consists primarily of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen, while ordinary glass consists largely of silicon and oxygen. To transform a walnut into conventional glass, you would need to change some of its atoms into different elements through nuclear transmutation, introduce or remove atoms as necessary, and then rearrange them into the disordered atomic structure characteristic of glass. Nuclear transmutation is scientifically possible, but performing it on such a massive scale would require enormous amounts of energy. In principle, however, the laws of physics do not prohibit transforming a walnut into glass at the atomic level.
