Remarks like this pmtfo. Like no shit but nobody wants to eat the fucking feathers

u/thecosmicjoke69813 1d ago
So just pull it out…….

u/MrZephy 1d ago
Do you not understand basics of food safety? It should be thrown out not eaten.

u/No_Trouble_3588 1d ago
Yeah, but this happens from time to time with factory processed foods. It is not going to harm anyone in any way. The sodium content is more harmful than an errant feather.

u/MrZephy 1d ago
I used to eat processed garbage like this multiple times a day for years and not once have I found a foreign material in my food. Obviously that’s just me, but if this is happening “from time to time” there is a problem with their inspection line, how do you know the failure ends with a small feather?

I said something similar when a buddy of mine got mad I poured bull semen on his steak

u/StudPuffin_69 1d ago
And called it macaroni

u/Green_Rabbit-1234 1d ago
No, that’s the hat. Feather in the nugget is called something else, I think.

Nah i feel you OP, the nugs are the last things i want to find feathers and bones remnants. I would advise youto report that to the manufacturer with the batch number

"Yeah, I plucked the chickens extra fast 'cause I knew I was seeing you tonight. There might just be a little feather in your nuggets or a little bit of meat inside of your pillow."

Everyone is being kind of a bitch about this post but yeah that's a little unpleasant.
Semi-rare quality assurance failure. You can report it. The company might offer you some small compensation like a coupon for replacement.

I got a feather in a nugget at Cookout once like 7 years ago. I also posted it on reddit.

It's not burned, no heat marks at all
2
u/justnegateit 1d ago
Microwave? Does feather burn in microwave?
2
u/Automatic_Actuator_0 1d ago
But they are precooked

Huh

The factory would have likely fried them for about 30 seconds and then finished them in an oven before freezing them.

I’m sorry but everyone in the comments telling OP to stop complaining about the feather because “it’s evidence of real chicken” needs to quiet down. You guys know what? It’s almost like this sub was made for mildly infuriating things like finding something in the food that should’ve been removed during processing 🤦.

I have serious doubts that a feather would look that fresh after being baked or fried.
-1
u/Bad-Luck-Guy 1d ago
It was microwaved.
3
u/Automatic_Actuator_0 1d ago
Note how the package says they are fully cooked? They are not microwaved there.
ETA: my research says they are usually fried for about 30 seconds to set the breading and then baked the rest of the way.

At least you know it's not rat or cat
2
u/kingston-twelve 1d ago
It doesn't rule out rat and/or cat, just proves there's some type of bird in there as well

Shit like this is why I became vegan. I still prepare meat/dairy etc for my wife and daughter but I can't eat it anymore myself

Actual evidence of a chicken or even a bird.. wow… I’d be happy to know at least it’s actual meat..

Want to freak out? See how they're made. Every one of those nuggies was attached to a disgusting bird before being shaped into Dino shapes.
OP, get a grip.

u/SuddenInformation896 1d ago
I would also be mildly infuriated if there was a seed in an apple smoothie
-2
u/Greendale_Official 1d ago
Obviously. And clearly the only way to remedy this would be to post online to a bunch of strangers who can't help you.

u/SuddenInformation896 1d ago
If only there was a place to post mildly infuriating things… could you imagine?

I didn’t know it being real chicken meant that you couldn’t be upset with the quality.

How old are you and why are you still buying the food for children?
5
u/Weird_Decision7090 1d ago
It had a bogo deal. Would you be happy if they were normal shaped instead?

u/Jerry-Beans 1d ago
No I just find it interesting when grown people choose the Dino shaped nuggets over the regular ones, unless as you stated - it was a deal. I picture you eating cereal with an airplane spoon going “vrroooooom comin in for landing!!”
5
u/Liathano_Fire 1d ago
Excuse you, but I still buy Dino nuggets. I actually just bought spooky nuggets that are shaped like bats amd ghosts.
Never too old for whimsical food.

u/Jerry-Beans 1d ago
Yeah having my chicken nuggets shaped like Dino’s is so much Fun. Weeeeeeeeeee!

u/know__name 1d ago
In no way would this upset me. As far as nuggets go, knowing its real chicken and not some amalgamation, I would be fucking thrilled.
4
u/PaleAcanthaceae1175 1d ago
Your nuggets are always actual chicken but they are also always an amalgamation. They remove the good cuts then heat, de-bone, and blend the remaining scrap meat, tendons, and skin into a paste which is formed and cooked. This is blended with stabilizing agents like cellulose to give it texture and stability.
Unless the packaging states otherwise, it's almost entirely chicken, salt, and cellulose. They aren't putting mystery stuff in there because using scrap animal parts that they were already butchering is cheaper than whatever you were imagining it was.

u/know__name 6h ago
Then why dont the feathers ever appear in the middle of the nugget? Always protruding the breading leading me believe its not some ground up mix but rather actual cuts of chicken.

Frighteningly horrible excuse for food has a wee little feather. Guess you have to explain to lil' Trevor where nuggies come from.

Honestly, I would be happy there's evidence its actually chicken.
