That’s the point I’m making. If it was an issue say something if it’s not, it shouldn’t matter. People make it sound like the original comment guy is being domineered by his partner. Even if he was some people like that shit, stop pushing your communication standards on to others.
I guess my point is just something shouldn't have to be an issue for you to bring it up. This isn't your friend, this is your life partner. You should feel comfortable to bring up things that are only mildly bothersome
And yeah, it's his relationship not mine, but it's a public comment. He can do what he likes, but I still feel some type of way about it
I think everyone has their preference on how to be communicated with, if your partner gets it then a randoms opinion doesn’t matter and it’s bold of them to push their communication standards for a different relationship entirely based on a joke lol.
yeah I think the issue people have with the original joke is just that it's reminiscent of "ball and chain" type of jokes. People aren't really into gendering humor like this nowadays, me included
But like I said, of course he can do whatever he wants in his own life
I think I’m the original guy. Definitely not domineered, she handles the decorating. I know how to pick my battles and this one isn’t worth it. Been married 26 years.
