It also has the added bonus that when you open it, there's a chance that the loaf of bread might flop out like a dead body.

When I read it I immediately thought of the old wonder white bread my mom used to make sandwiches on when I was little. lol, that bread would definitely flop like a dead body.

Industrial sliced bread

Nature's Own would definitely do this... Any soft, sliced, processed sandwich bread I'd think

These replies are definitely making me check my privilege, I haven’t eaten bread like that since I was a kid. Not that I buy anything terribly bougie but I would rather not have bread than eat bread that flops lol

Haha that's so fair! I'm not a big crunchy crust bread person, something about super soft bread does it for me 😂 maybe it is just childhood nostalgia though, I've never thought about it too much

Bread that isn't all stale and dried out.

I think that's a "shitty bread" problem rather than an "upright bread holder" problem

Who ever said it was a problem?

I was thinking the added bonus was it might not be bread, but rather a bottle of wine or fine scotch.
