I'm slightly vexed These windows at our rental house all have slightly different panes

There's only 2 different assemblies. They just mixed the panes on the left and center windows. The installer probably did this just after their third bump of the day

Yeah I was just thinking assuming they are otherwise the same size someone swapped the bottom sashes
They can usually be removed for cleaning

Because the installer fucked up, bought one assembly of the wrong type, and couldn't even keep the different assemblies apart

Yeah the far left and centre windows have their bottom sashes swapped
As to why the windows are all different it’s probably because they were picked up at discount for being mismatched

Yes, they have windows of the same size with different cladding in the same room. The installer fucked up

Or the customer chose to go with three mismatched windows because it was cheaper than ordering three new windows that matched

What the fuck are you talking about? They didn't buy three mismatched windows. They bought one of a different type and mixed the panes between that one and one of the other two. That cheap piece of plastic isn't going to change the price much

You know the bottom sashe (assembly inclining the glass) the part that moves can be completely removed and then swapped between the windows
If OP takes the bottom glass out of the far left and moves it to the centre and the one from the centre to the far left the windows will match each themselves
I used to do this as a teen all the time because I thought it was funny
Some windows let you take both sashes out of the frame for cleaning
It actually looks to me like the windows are a set of three with the centre one having no bars on it. So someone has removed and swapped the bottom sashes of the two windows

Your brain clearly works differently than mine 🥲 it's infuriating because I wouldn't be able to see or think about anything else when looking at those damn mismatched windows.

As someone who has been the dept head over Millwork at Home Depot, if I had a customer order something like this I'd lose my shit internally. Especially that one on the left.

You can swap out the lower left and lower middle. They swing in to clean and are easily moveable.

We have habitat for humanity store near us that builders donate their leftover stuff to, and we can buy with the proceeds going to charity. Not unusual for landlords and such to just grab whatever is there as long as the sizing is right.
