We eat it in Czechia as well, we call it Tatarák, usually you add some onion, raw egg yolk, soy sauce, washyoursister sauce and then eat it with garlic bread.

And in Poland too. But we call it Tatar.

Tatar is a German thing too.
Tatar is beef, Mett is pork.
