Video Danish Youtuber Playing RDR2 at 4FPS daily

A Danish youtuber has been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 at 4 FPS every day.

He said that the first missions took him over 12 hours to complete.

His PC is a laptop with an i5-8300H and a 1050ti with 4gb.

Dude is the most patient human being on the planet.

strange. 1050ti should be able to run RDR2 with minimum 30fps.

Seems like the settings are either in high or ultra for that to happen

Everything for the sake of content I guess

So he has no life then and he can afford to upload videos like this

It’s all about the audience. I read somewhere a long time ago that tens of thousands of people watched a dashcam video of a single train ride through the snow in Norway because the older generation found it so relaxing and peaceful. This was actually a real phenomenon known as 'Slow TV' (Sakte-TV). It started in 2009 when the Norwegian broadcaster NRK aired a seven-hour continuous film of a train journey from Bergen to Oslo. It turned out to be a massive, unexpected hit - so surely this format has to work, right? Right?

Yeah they also watch the annual elk migration in Sweden like that every year from what I've heard.

Hell I often have a Namibian Watering Hole live cam or the Brooks Falls Bear Cam going in the background while I'm doing things around the house. Or if Kilauea is fountaining, I'll pop that cam up.

Those videos are just great relaxing noise.

I love canals, locks and white noise.

the constant changes in the background, greeted all along the way by people in boats, on docks, on the locks, bridges, and some enthusiastic watchers just swimming in the same water for the vibes.

I don't mind "slow TV", but dumbing down the game to a screeching halt of 5 FPS is not that, it's trash.

trust me he’s not doing it for content

He obviously is, RDR2 runs fine on those specs. This is intentionally done.

he has thousands of videos like this in other games too

So it's his niche. Just makes it sound more like it's for content lmao

His life story is irrelevant, the game should not be running this poorly with these specs. Either he's lying about the specs of his laptop, or he's intentionally set an extremely low frame limit. I'm leaning towards a frame limit, as the frame timing seems far too consistent for 4fps to genuinely be the most his PC can manage.

He is doing youtube becuase thats the only way he knows how to make money

Youtube is his only way to make money? You know what youtubers need to make money, right? Views. You know what brings in views? Content.

I think you're misunderstanding what "Content" is. It doesn't have to be ironic or a "stunt", it just has be something that makes people interested in watching it. The real question is, would this guy play these games at 4fps and have a good time doing it, if he wasn't uploading it to youtube? Probably not.

The guy clearly has issues, but that doesn't invalidate this being just for content.

I just think his computer is extremely old and dirty, he also has a 900 video long playlist of Hyper market simulator that also runs at like 13 fps and those videos had less views than his normal stuff. He also gets most of his from early retirement benifts, and i just think he mostly makes videos because he needs something to do and feel slightly productive, he is afraid to go outside and talk to other people so he is just in his apartment doing nothing.

You’re talking about something you clearly don’t know anything about, while being awfully confident about it as well. He’s not doing it for content, he’s simply just very unintelligent.
