Might be time for Eric Andre to get a new security detail, MFer went right up to him and grabbed his neck

There was a security guy one step behind and one step to the right of Eric. The security guy clocked Chet immediately and placed his hands on Chet’s arms/shoulders (seemingly as a warning to Chet and/or to position himself so he could use force on Chet, if needed). The security guy waits a while but then steps in between Chet and Eric once the encounter became less friendly.

I’m willing to bet Eric has instructed his guys to play it cool until there’s a sign of trouble. In other words, Eric doesn’t want his security to body slam a guy who is just casually tapping Eric in the shoulder or trying to shake his hand or whatever. There are reasons for this. There are liability issues. Eric could be liable to someone who has been injured by his security detail (provided they used excessive violence in a situation that a reasonable person would find harmless). Also, Eric has to think about his image — he won’t be seen as likable if his security beat people up all the time for no reason.

Thank you. The guy on the right also warns Eric and says a guy is coming up to you and has his hand in the mix until Eric initiates the conversation. I feel like these replies are wild, security can’t just smack down anyone who tried to touch a celebrity

I think it’s because Eric started out the convo warm and friendly. The security was pretty quick and on it once it was clearly hostile

No, he had his hand on his shoulder prior to him turning around and engaging in conversation. He supposed to intervene before that part lmao.

I think you’re right from the security perspective but if I was Eric I would have removed that hand real quick. I personally don’t want anybody walking up to me grabbing on me like that.

I’m sure he could see the guy wasn’t right and didn’t want to escalate. I get that Chet is touching him, but touching him back by removing the hand is seen as reciprocating hostility. Dude is obviously a time bomb

That’s just not how it works lol. Security needs to remove the third party from the celebrity. I’ve never seen someone get so close like that in such a casual way.

I mean the dude came up behind him and grabbed his neck, security should have smacked him for that alone.

I mean yes to be for real, they probably didn’t want to beat up Tom Hanks son unless they absolutely have to

If you do that to someone you should expect hands instantly.

Let’s get real here, the security saw Chet and instantly knew that a nepo-gangster was in the house. I would’ve been shaking in my boots.
