A friend introduced me to this track. Their sound reminds me of the Strokes and The White Stripes.

Absolutely mimimalist German post-punk from 1982. Definitely not a song that could have existed before Punk. English version went on to become #2 in the UK, #3 in Canada, though only #33 in the U.S.

Some fan made not so popular remix of the song “stripped” by depeche mode. at the time it had 100-200 likes on youtube.com. the fan made music video included a woman dancing with a black and white filter and the sound effects in the beginnings sounded like a cash money sound effect if that makes sense. the man singing the cover had a voice similar to that of she past away, very deep very monotone. help? I think the video was posted circa 2012-2023 if that helps with anything

Joy Division transcending into New Order

This has always been one of my favorites from their debut album. It wasn’t released as a single, but seems to have struck a chord with fans and remained a fixture in live appearances throughout their career.

Perfect with coffee this morning.

The record was released in 1988, but the recordings are from December 1978.
