My 1st Harvey's Poutine
I think I have a decent poutine palette and typically avoid non-QC fast food 'tines. Had a craving though, so hit a late night Hamilton location. Large classic poutine. Not a bad price (like $7-8).
Fries - 5/10. Bland, slightly undercooked and mass produced tasting (duh)
Curds - 6/10. Okay. Weren't the freshest. Melted nicely.
Gravy - 8/10. Highlight of the dish. Rich, somewhat complex, tasty!
Overall: 6.5/10
In a pinch, this'll do. It satisfied my craving. Gravy elevated it from "so-so" to decent. Might get it again if it's late (no other real poutine options around here then).

If you want to elevate poutine, add black pepper. It tastes much better.

You're onto something! You mean order the chicken BR then add an order of buffalo chicken and toss it in?

Does anyone know if you can get double curds at Harvey's? I know you can at McD's but I'd like to know about the other chains.

Of the national chains, it's probably the best fast food poutine. NY fries is a close second, but they are both still slightly below average to be a good poutine. Adequate but not great
