Books/Comics Has there ever been a Predator army?

Post image

I have only seen the movies and read online wikis and I'm looking for some more content.

I was rewatching Predators and remembered the trailer shot above. It was ditched as there was only 3 Predators hunting and another as a prisoner in the film. It got my wondering if there was ever any type of Predator army or squad using group tactics.

In Predators and AvP the 2 sets of 3 seperate and hunt individually, obviously because of their hunter culture. However, in AvP one Predator teams up with the lead character after the simple hunting/rite of passage ends up with a loose Alien queen.

I vaguely remember something about the Predators releasing the Alien species on the galaxy from some Extended universe stuff, and in AvP the temple is a Alien breeding/hunting ground.

So long rant over TLDR: was there ever a Predator army or squad that work together using something resembling military tactics? How did it operate?

Books/Comics It will never happen due to film rights issues. But this comic could have made a cool movie

Never been a big DC/super hero film fan, but I'll a bit of wiggle room Batman depending on the iteration. I just re-read this classic (admittedly #2 and #3 suck) and dreamed of this being turned into a movie. It actually works well as a one-off story; much better than it actually sounds on paper. Obviously with Disney owning 20th Century/Predator and WB owning DC it'll never happen unfortunately.

Books/Comics Is Skinner the most brutal Predator ever?

This guy skinned victims, wore their skin as disguises, killed indiscriminately, and even murdered children.

What's crazy is that Skinner appeared in a Marvel Spider-Man comic, which is about as kid-friendly as Predator crossovers get.

Even other Predators considered him so dishonorable that they hunted him down themselves.

Can anyone think of a worse Yautja?

Before anyone grabs their torches and pitch forks, most comics were very damaged and some were the newer comics. Thanks for looking! PS we need an Art flair.

Books/Comics My god this is awful...

So there is NO conflict whatsoever. The story and characters have ZERO progression. Action is meh. Artwork is meh.
It's not the worst predator comic, but it's boring as hell.
How intense your story is, if half of your main characters just chillin' in the bar for 3\4 of the issue in the middle of the action?
And they even managed to f-up the main antagonist of this circus. I was expecting a twist with the tournament organizer, like he would turn out to be also a competent veteran fighter, who can give the Predator a challenge with his power-gloves. But no, he is dead in a half of the page.
4 out of 5 issues is completley empty and unentertaining.

At least covers are kinda cool.

Books/Comics Would it be interesting if we continue to follow Dek and his new clan in comic book form?

Like I would love to see more of Dek in the movies, whether it’s live action or animated.

But it’d be very interesting if we follow our young hunter in comic books.

With the prequel comic.

It kind of gives me an idea that there should be a comic series that follows Dek throughout his life before the events of Badlands.

Like we finally see how he saved his brother from that toy.

To him growing up and being trained by his father and possibly mother.

To seeing how Dek managed to fix his ship while bringing some things from Genna.

I’m not saying it would be one big backstory, but in general being following dek as he starts his new clan and starts hunting worthy prey across the stars with Thia and Bud.

Books/Comics Thoughts on this?

Would this be the largest scale a Predator comic has ever gone?

I haven’t read all the Predator comics, but I don’t recall predators taking on something of this scale

The closest I can recall is when a predator took on the Mortal Kombat universe, but that pales in comparison to this

As excited as I am, it feels a bit out of place in a Predator story, given how most are very self contained.

I’m still excited, albeit very cautious about this run

Books/Comics Today is the release for the trade paperback of predator kills the Marvel universe. After these ugly motherf***ers face down wolverine, Spider-Man, and Black Panther. Now they’re going after everyone. Any thoughts and opinions?

Like I heard there were some mixed feeling like Benjamin Percy has been doing pretty well.

Like I seen an interview where he has stressed Dad this is something that he’s dreamed of doing

Like he has been pressuring the editors ever since Disney bought 20th century.

And from what I heard, his run on predator versus Wolverine is actually pretty good.

I mean, predators are no stranger to facing down superheroes.

We had predators faced down Superman and Batman before

Hell, they even hunted down the justice league.

But now it’s open season on the avengers, X-Men, guardians of the Galaxy, and the fantastic four

I’m definitely interested in reading it and maybe buying it but let’s have to wait

I can't believe I haven't really seen anybody talking about this. In Predator versus Spider-Man issue 1 the Predator rips some guy's face off and uses the skin like a mask.
