3D Isometric is what we need actually

The current work on ViewPoint is truly fantastic, and this progress makes me genuinely happy.

Ever since I started playing with the isometric module, neither TPS (third-person) nor FPS (first-person) perspectives satisfy me anymore. This is exactly what we need, though it still requires a bit more refinement.

When entering a new chunk, sometimes walls that should be hidden remain visible, or areas that ought to be in view stay obscured—I’ve been bitten by zombies a few times because of this.

Furthermore, in the vanilla version, you can see inside buildings when looking through windows, but that isn't possible in ViewPoint’s isometric mode.

Also, interacting with shelves, cabinets, and crates is quite difficult. Additionally, when using the "place" command, there’s no way to see exactly where an item is being positioned.

Aside from these issues, after playing this way, going back to vanilla Zomboid is simply out of the question for me. The modders have truly taken this game to a much better place than the original developers ever did.

People spammed out week one posts without any of them getting removed from the subreddit months ago. Idk why this mod is for some reason being treated differently

Doesn’t change the fact that the mod has overtaken Zomboid. Videos of the mod get millions of views and YouTubers outside of the Zomboid community have started talking about the game because of this mod. The only people that are covering their heads and refusing to talk about it is this subreddit. Which now makes up the vast minority of discussion around Zomboid

If you look up Zomboid on YouTube the first and most viewered videos are all project viewpoint. So keep coping

They’ll happily let 100s of week one mod posts take over the entire subreddit for months but the moment the mod is one they disagree with it’s full time censorship

What does using ai tools have to do with anything lmao? The mod functions and it’s great. It’s also by far the most popular Zomboid mod there is right now

It’s only this subreddit that’s being cry baby’s about this. Search Zomboid on YouTube and every new video with 200-500k plus views is project viewpoint with nothing but praise. Everyone outside of this very tiny subreddit loves the mod. You guys are just being contrarians for the sake of being victims

Even the indie stone have said they won’t ban or remove ai generated mods from the workshop or discussion and that ai isn’t going anywhere.

The only people against this are the subreddit mods lmao.

It seems more like a small minority have taken over the subreddit against even what the developers want, to enforce their anti ai propaganda really. I really won’t leave until I’m banned and I hope even more people keep posting the viewpoint mod until the censorship ends

This isn’t their sub. Again, if you dislike the rules, just leave. If I went over to a pro-AI sub and slated AI, I’d be told to leave if I dislike it. Same applies champ.

Okay. It’s also the most subscribed to mod in the past 30 days on the steam workshop by a huge margin and has gained over 500,000 unique subscribers despite only releasing a month ago

The third most popular and subscribed to mod in the past 30 days is project viewpoints driving addon.

You guys can complain all you want. But the vast majority of zomboid players that utilize mods are playing with viewpoint or at the least downloaded it to try it out. It’s really only this sub that’s the contrarians here

I wouldn’t bother with them, It’s all a moot point anyway, coming to a subreddit just to whine about the general consensus and then cry when you’re told to just leave if they don’t like it is ridiculous, and that’s all this person is doing.
