Don’t blame him. This team is screwed until there are extreme changes

How many SEC D Line have you seen up close?
Would you want to run behind the line we have?
He wants to run the ball and be "the guy". That doesn't fit with what he's seen from this coach and this squad.

The line has improved but it seems like the coaching staff plays favorites. Braylon and Settles should be getting a bulk of the loads yet Sutton smith is always on the field

That’s no surprise.
Commits in the NIL era are less binding than a promise ring in high school.
I wouldn’t expect any early commits to stick with Arkansas or any other lower tier school if they think they can get a better offer.

Doesn’t really have anything to do with NIL, you’re just making excuses for a decade plus of mismanagement by the university. If you read his statement, I don’t see how you could disagree with anything he said.
> “I’ve been diving into Arkansas games day by day and focusing on offensive line, physicality, and the offensive coordinator and play calling,” Dent told Rivals. “Really hard to extend my talent or allow someone to get hot when you have backs going in and out every three snaps. The consistency of not having the run game banging through at least one half has me questioning myself about where I would fit in.”

This kid sounds like it has nothing to do with NIL.

My statement was about high school commitments in general; not Dent in particular.

I’m curious what his offer sheet looks like now since he tore his ACL. We need immediate help, not wait and see how he recovers from his injury. More power to him, but this one doesn’t really sting that much in the short term.

Maybe read it again. You missed the point!

No I completely understand our offense is trash and Braylen and Settles should get the bulk of the carries. I’m saying we don’t need to waste our time on a high school running back with a torn ACL. It’s a great feel good story if he recovers and does well, chances are he won’t though.

Conversely he shouldn't waste his time with us. We could have Derrick Fucking Henry back there and still lose if you don't give him the fucking ball and punt down a touchdown with 3 timeouts and 1:45 on the clock

Agreed. Run north and south more and we 100% win that game. We put ourselves in 2nd and long running east and west with Smith and our offense clearly isn’t good enough to overcome that

It's more than just the decommitment. It's the statement for me for sure.
