Discussion I Did Not Expect This So Soon…
We’ve said yes to every animal we could. Every stray left behind. Every orphaned litter. Every injured dog with nowhere else to go. And if you’ve followed our journey, you know this isn’t just rescue work—it’s personal.
You might remember King, the puppy who barely survived after being found with his siblings in a heartbreaking situation… With your help, we saved him. That moment changed everything. It proved what could be done when people care enough to step in- and it became the spark that lit the fire behind what we do today.
That’s when Juno’s Journey Home Foundation was born- named in honor of Juno, our beloved rescue dog who passed away at 13 years old earlier this year. Juno came to us after surviving severe abuse when I was barely learning to drive a car… She had every reason to give up on people, but she didn’t. Instead, she became our guardian and the heart of our home.
Juno helped raise orphaned kittens and puppies as if they were her own. She was gentle, patient, protective—everything a mother should be. Her love shaped our rescue work from the very beginning. And though she’s gone, her spirit is still here. Everything we’re building is inspired by her.
Today, we’re caring for as many animals as we safely can. Every dog and cat we take in is housed and cared for directly by us. But we’ve reached our limit. The space is just too small for the number of animals who need help, and financially we keep hitting walls.
That’s why we’ve officially begun the process of becoming a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Our paperwork is in motion, and we expect full approval by April 2026. At that point, donations will be tax-deductible. We want to be transparent: they are not tax-deductible yet.
While we are patiently waiting on that next step of becoming an official 501(c)(3), we’re also trying to save toward a larger property; One that would let us help more animals, offer sufficient space, and create something lasting in Juno’s honor. But to do that, we need to preserve every dollar we can.
So we’re asking for donated supplies—not money. These supplies allow us to keep going without dipping into the funds we’re saving for growth.
If you’re able to donate supplies or want to meet our adoptable animals, please reach out.
Thank you for remembering King, for honoring Juno’s legacy, and for believing in what we’re building—one life at a time. I wish I could tell the whole world how amazing each individual one of you have been to us.

(Juno is the gorgeous dog in the photo. This shoot was taken just a week before she unexpectedly passed due to a stroke…)
There are lots of options on our list! Do not feel obligated to buy anything specifically, just what your heart desires! We have some puppy food and lots of wet food still on hand!

u/hunnytrees Dec 05 '25
ok yeah it looks like you put the invite link for your list rather than just the link to the list

u/CablePuzzleheaded255 Rescue Parent Dec 05 '25
What happens if you press join? I may have copied the wrong link, but it should still be the same process I think!

I think I may have copied the “view and edit” link originally.
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/3F1E5RVF60XAQ?ref_=wl_share
This link is much shorter length-wise, so I’m going to guess that’s what happened.

It won’t let me edit the original text…. Would it be best to repost or do you think it will still work? I have only used Amazon lists one other time.

Sometimes the desktop site does things that the mobile app won't. Maybe worth a try

Brings me to tears to know exactly what both dog AND humans are capable of. And although I don’t have much, made sure to follow to try and donate a little when I can and follow this beautiful journey. 🥹💜

Thank you so much for following what we have been doing! I’ve been doing the best I can for every animal we come across. I can’t wait for them to have acres to run and play in a fenced and safe area, rather than the large runs they’re in. We are SO close! We will be starting to look at properties this weekend :) I am excited to keep you all updated on our endeavors, through the heartbreak and the good times! So many animals deserve more than they’re given. I hope we can save the whole of Texas one day, even if it’s the last thing I get to do.

I pray I get to watch that happen. I somehow ended up in the /rescue Reddit and it’s just so depressing getting 20 notifications a day about dogs being euthanized and not being able to do a thing about it. It truly breaks my heart in a different way and most of them are in Texas. I want you to truly know people like you have my blessing. Wish I had enough money to save them ALL. 😭💜💯

I really appreciate you saying that! ❤️ These animals mean the world to me, and I will continue to be their voice here, wherever I’m able to! They deserve all of my energy, in my opinion. They repay me with plenty of love!

Thank you for being such a kind soul! Every little bit helps us help them. This group has really given me a new hope in humanity. I get emotional every time I think about how much we have all endured together on here, even though it’s anonymous. I’m so grateful for this community and all of the likeminded people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting! :)

Thank YOU for your support! It is so greatly appreciated by myself and the animals! The last couple of months have been a whirlwind, but I’m so thankful that it has landed us here and is giving us an opportunity to expand. I hope we can really make a difference here, in a legal way, and to get to provide for the animals that don’t have anywhere safe to go.

Thank you SO much! Everything helps us greatly, and will give us the ability to focus on moving the dogs to a larger property! I’m lucky to be able to work with as many animals as I do and make a difference for their future. They’re all so precious

Thank you so much! She was an angel. I definitely want to frame this one ❤️ There were about 50 amazing pictures from this day! We had this shoot a week before she passed away, and it was such a perfect day with her. I also am planning a memorial tattoo, but am so indecisive on what style I want right now that I have to wait.
