Question Any way to fix this pad leaking?
Got my first personal Bari and I let a trusted friend use it during rehearsal and now this pad is leaking, anyone know how to fix w/ out taking it to a shop?

Looks more like it is fully open than «leaking»?

Small sliver letting air out, I’ve tried to bend it myself and that helped, but not enough

Hard to say from the photo, but it is often one of the «things» pressing down on the pad that is either bent or unscrewed.

That is now bent and leaking and you are asking does anyone know how to fix it without taking it to a shop.
Well -you could get trained as a technician and then you would be a technician who fixes their own horns at home.
Or you could call the various shops and ask if someone makes house calls . Some technicians will do that but it is usually an extra fee- not the thing to do if you want to avoid paying money to people to fix bent keys and leaking pads on top of deferred maintenance. Did you buy it online or at a shop? Eventually a Bari usually gets adjusted annually.
Or find better friends who will take resonsibility for the maintenance of the Bari after you let them play it. Maybe I am reading the wrong things into your wording but it sort of seems like you are semi-blaming your friend for a leak. Or why you don't get regular maintenance or don't want to take it to a shop. Stop working on it yourself #1, Figure out why and how adjustments are done by professionals for money since they can do a better job than you or I . I am a mechanic in another trade and have thousands of hours fixing other things under my belt . Not my Bari sax though.

I don't think it's bent, it looks like the reflection of the rod around the curve of the hole

It probably isn’t the pad. I would guess it is the lever that closes that pad when you play F and below. I’ve had to slightly adjust the spacer on my bari (that black spacer in your picture) to fix the issue sometimes. In a real pinch you can put a few layers of tape on the key where that spacer hits to make it push down far enough.

Now that you've bent the key the answer is take it to a tech. All of those rods, screws and keys are dependent on each other. Tolerances are very small and difficult to get right without experience.

If you have to ask, then no you can't fix it. Stop bending stuff and take it to a shop.
