So my recent attendance at a destination wedding has provided me with a rather welcome break from all the banalities of life. And the longer I stayed away from my inbox, office politics and daily WIP meetings the more I realised just how badly I needed one.

I couldn’t quite pinpoint which bit gave me the sudden epiphany. Perhaps it was the beautiful panoramic views of Uluwatu? The gorgeous Balinese sunset? The sweltering humidity that gave us all mild heat stroke? Or the friendly neighbourhood monkey gang who attempted to hold my phone hostage? I guess it doesn’t really matter. But while the other guests & I were perched on our little white timber seats listening to the exchange of vows and ‘I do’s’ I couldn’t help but contemplate my own very single status.

So while I’m sitting here at the airport I have made the decision to corral my mess of thoughts into something coherent with the hope that, in the process, I might find someone to share the next adventure with or at the very least attend the next destination wedding with.

Ah, and of course a couple housekeeping items (disclaimers, caveats):
• Currently not in Manila/PH. Although I do reside there. A recent situation regarding my father’s health has complicated matters. Inquire within. Basically, I won’t be in the ph in an immediate sense.

• I am harbouring a slight caffeine addiction like most graduates of architecture. I’m into cold brew/iced americanos or decent pour overs. Sweet coffee is a guilty pleasure. I do OMAD so for those of you in the know the black coffee gets me through my workouts until I can eat.
• Я говорю по-русский/I speak Russian. I had the urge to travel to Eastern Europe/Central Asia (Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan) but in hindsight the idea didn’t age too well after COVID/RS-UA. I have done extensive travel around SEA & Aus. I’d love to see EU and can’t ever say no to Japan.
• And because I know this probably matters to some people… I look Chinito, short haircut with faded sides, beard that is maintained to thick, short stubble and lined up by my barber year round. Not particularly tan, quite lean as I workout frequently and (mostly) eat well, a toned, broad chest, arms and shoulders blah blah blah. I fill out a shirt and if you ever manage to get it off me then I don’t think you will have any complaints haha!

• I own more fragrance than any reasonable person should… for dates it’s Creed Aventus, at the office it’s Dior Sauvage, at the gym it’s Ralph Lauren Blue and my everyday is Bleu De Chanel. No tattoos or piercings. TLDR I’m clean cut.
• Social drinker (never been drunk, never smoked cigarettes or tried other illicit substances). Although I don’t mind indulging in the occasional shisha or cigar for special occasions. Partial to a well made Mojito or an Old Fashioned.
• Random skills: I took a 13 week remedial massage therapy course as part of an anniversary present for my ex but we broke up before I got to give her my present. But this means I can give you some damn good massages.
• Last but not least despite all of the above I’m fond of life’s quiet moments. A lazy Sunday morning with good coffee, a slow walk & great conversation is one of life’s greatest pleasures.

I should probably leave a bit of myself to the imagination but the whole point of writing this much was to catch your attention. So what’s next? Onward my intrepid reader!
