Stuart fails to save the universe

• Upvotes

Just finished season 1 of this and honestly i thought it was fun in concept and i did like seeing the characters but every single episode felt like the same thing was happening just in a different font like there was no real plot development in the show into right at the end and honestly im not sure if it will get a second season? unless anyone knows otherwise
i wish we’d have got a chance for the characters to develop atleast a bit within the first season but it was just kinda the same bit for all of them with no real getting to know them outside of big bang theory
i also found that the cameo characters didn’t really feel like their characters apart from bernadette. like i KNOW they’re in different universes but a different person but for example raj didn’t feel like raj at all to me it just felt like the actor was playing a different character
maybe im too critical because i watched big bang theory my whole childhood, but i really think they could have done better here
thag being said i did enjoy watching it! like it’s a fun watch but i don’t think ill be re watching any time soon, and that’s coming from someone who re watches sitcoms religiously

Best/Funniest Scene

What is the best/funniest scene in any sitcom?

My favorite will always be when Jackie calls Aunt Barbara to inform her that her (Jackie’s) dad had passed away.

Edited to add link to scene:

Anyone else disappointed this show didn’t get a 2nd season? We were surprised Stumble was cancelled after S1. Really want to see where it goes w Katey Sagal as the new rival.

I love my favorite show but.

When rewatching I won’t rewatch it in its entirety I will either cherry pick or only watch certain scenes. Is that normal because I feel guilty.

What sit-coms have done a hypnotism episode?

I feel like this was a thing in the 80s/90s, but I can't think of a specific example. A character would go to a hypnotist to quit smoking or deal with anxiety or whatever, and end up clucking like a chicken in an embarrassing public forum.

UPDATE: I don't know why I didn't think of this sooner but TV Tropes has an entry for this. Apparently clucking like a chicken was the go-to joke: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/HypnoFool

If you had to choose one sitcom character to be your best friend, who would you choose?

I'd pick Parks and Rec's Leslie Knope. I feel she'd fix all of my life problems.

Face Masks

Y’all remember that common jokes in sitcoms about wives taking off their makeup and putting on this thick white cream that obscures their faces and naturally scares the husband. I know it’s exaggerated but I always wondered what product that was meant to be. Like a mask that thick gotta come off on the pillow right?

I got into wrestling after watching That Wrestling Show from That 70s Show. Mix that with John Cenas final months and I had to watch and found a new passion thanks to my first television love genre
