This is my 2nd largest LeatherLeaf, so beautiful.

Can anybody identify? There's A BUNCH of them here where i live (brazil)

I don't know anything about slugs but they are always so pretty, can i touch them? Thank you so much!

I live in vegas, and for the past 20 years I have lived here I did not think we had slugs. It seems to hot and dry for them here. But..! During one of our recent storms, I walked outside to enjoy the rain, and came across this little guy! At first I didn’t know wtf it was, and my first conclusion was that it was a lizards discarded tail that had gotten soaked in the rain. So I decided to poke it with a leaf. You can imagine my surprise when two eyes popped out and started looking around! Then I was absolutely entranced by it! I watched him for about 40 minutes, which you can imagine was a whole lotta nothing considering its a slug. Anyway, he has been frequenting my walkway ever since I first saw him and im absolutely obsessed. I think hes so cute and so interesting. The other night I left my house to go pick up my boyfriend and he was halfway up my wall! I was gone for a little over an hour and when I came back he had made it back on the ground and halfway back to his home in the rocks! I can’t imagine a world so slow. Lucky slugs! Now every time i leave my house I check the floor so I dont accidentally step on him. Tonight he was out again and looked to be heading home for the night, and so I looked up what slugs eat, and gave him a little slice of cucumber. He went right towards it and started chowing down! I hope a full belly helps him keep warm now that its colder, if thats even a thing for them. Im so happy that I saw him!! Its been so fun having a little slug friend. Also if anyone in here can tell me what kind of slug he is that would be great! I know it’s a garden slug, but wasn’t sure if that was his entire identity. Are their variants? Let me know! I’d love to know more about him.

Sharing some of my babies over the years!

ditto is never usually out at this time, she waits until night to roam.
there are some springtails crawling on her, are they hurting her??
is she pooping or laying eggs or is something wrong with her? i’ve had her for several weeks and she hasn’t done this before.
she’s a wild caught leopard slug from middle tennessee if that’s important at all.

EDIT: ok it’s poop i googled it. yellow squash poop lol. still have questions though!!

is it okay that shes just sitting in the open? she’s kinda bunched up and I haven’t seen her do before. does she need more/less humidity?? she’s got a very damp tank.
10gal with leaf litter and sphagnum moss

if anyone knows what kind of slug he is that would be cool to know too (im in Ohio). dog walked past him and he got scared and squeezed up into a little pill shape lol so silly lookin

Saw this guy lowering himself to the ground from the roof of my garage.

Did not catch them mating though. Hopefully next time 🤞

So tiny

Found him on the sidewalk after the rain, had to put him back into the mud

These gray garden slugs were in my family’s garden. I have kept them alive for about a month so far so I must be doing something right!
