Gear question Yes Sender Yes or No?

Hi,

I’m thinking of adding a new board to my quiver (why not?).

I’m 175 lbs, 6 1 tall and 42 boot size for reference and solid intermediate rider.

Currently, I have a 157 Capita Mercury and a 156 Rome Artifact. The Mercury is awesome for carving, all mountain and going hard when resort isn’t very crowded, however is very physically demanding for going a few days in a row and a bit dead when going slow in crowded weekends. Don’t want to fuck up the edges in the park.

The Rome Artifact is a lot of fun in park and pretty presseable for trying new stuff but become a bit washy and hard to control when reaching higher speeds, it also lacks a bit of pop when trying side hits in uneven terrain.

I was thinking of adding a 50-50 freestyle but all mountain capable boards to the quiver, to have fun in the resort but being able to hit park laps as well.

I was thinking of a 152 Yes Sender I’ve seen on sale but I can’t find much information as it is a new model from this past season. Any info or recommendation? Is it for what I’m looking for? Specially on the size where 152 seems to be good up to 187 lbs.

The other board I looked into was a Rome Agent 156.

Pretty much why I got the jones stratos - different board, same in between quiver situation. Just a word of caution. the yes operation is a little uncertain rn after they split with nideker. I reached out to customer service and it took them like 3 weeks to get back. I’m sure quality is fine though.

Nobody on earth that weighs 175 should ever be on a 152 anything. let alone a 154. 156-160 is a good range. Go up a few sizes on the Sender and you'd be fine if thats what you want.

Usually yes but it differs from board to board. I would just go with whatever manufacturer says for the board. Also if it is a midwide or volume board (not sure about the sender) - it might also work in 152 size rather fine

No. It definitely varies by board type, riding style and all that. That's why i gave a good range. 175lbs on a 152 park board is like Glockhouse on his 150 custom haha

152 Sender will be a noodle for your weight, i ride with a guy who is 190 and he had to sell his 152 cause it was folding on him in anything but perfect groomers. the weight ranges on boards are mostly bullshit in my experience

for what you want maybe look at something with a bit more backbone, a 154 or 155W if you got big feet. the Agent is nice but it's softer than you think, more park focused

Look at the Rome Viper, but not the Pro.

Think it could be a good in between. I feel you with an in-between board or in my case a chiller board that isn't dead when trying to cruise. I've got two boards that are physically demanding. Ive been thinking maybe the Rome Viper based on the Whitelines Review or something else that has rocker in the tip and tail.

I was also looking at that one, looks very sick with that 3d on the nose and double kick in the tail

Seems like overkill in your quiver. Do you really need an inbetween board?

Idk man there is very little reason to have more than two snowboards imo.
