This is a space for socialists to discuss current events in our world from anti-capitalist perspective(s), and a certain knowledge of socialism is expected from participants. This is not a space for non-socialists. Please be mindful of our rules before participating, which include:
No Bigotry, including racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism...
No Reactionaries, including all kind of right-wingers.
No Liberalism, including social democracy, lesser evilism...
No Sectarianism. There is plenty of room for discussion, but not for baseless attacks.

My thoughts are complicated. I have two young ones, but I do feel the weight of the world and our climate crisis and wasn’t sure if I wanted to do it. But then we also need to have hope that we can make a better world and leave one for those that come after us. Otherwise we just give into doomerism and accelerated destruction.

Some people have them to propagate their bloodlines some want to be parents and have lots of love to give. Some have them to feel loved some do it so they have something they can carry around like a neat little trinket some are forced by partners and some do it because they believe its their duty some have them to get govt money. Everyone has kids for different reasons
