Japan creates a drug that regrows teeth and could revolutionize dentistry. Elon made a flying garbage dumpster that most people with an ounce of knowledge about cars avoids like the plague.

Nothing, just like Musk

This comment just shows how stupid you are... Seriously you don't understand the jump in tech this makes for so many things, like space, new vehicules, new securities...

Cold gas thrusters are already used in space. Watch a video of an ISS docking. This is a publicity stunt, not "new tech".

Damn you are really dense... "space" is not only about the void. You will need such tech on planets with gravity. It will allows way more explorations.

We use them for Soyuz capsule control in the atmosphere too. You're an idiot.

Like just Google "cold gas thrusters" and you'll see that they were invented in the fucking 1960s...

Those musk balls taste good, bud? Gargle gargle.

Not really.

Its impractical. There is no useful way to use these things. While the engineering is cool, its also not a car. Its a car-like object. Carbon fiber or fiberglass, tube frame and servos. There was no driver and no passenger compartment.

The downforce mechanism won't really work on your average surface street. And its been done before on the McMurty. It only gets attention on the roadster because its Tesla. On track it has its purpose, but not really here. Debris will likely do significant damage.

The jets won't really serve a purpose on the street. You'll sand blast cars and pedestrians with road grit and debris. Plus, 0.8 seconds of acceleration to 60mph is bordering on irresponsible. Imagine the kind of damage that would be done in the hands of the average person that can barely drive their BMW without nearly rear ending someone. No insurance company will insure it.

Its impressive. But its not useful.

Cold gas thrusters were invented in the 1960s, the compressed gas tanks take up the entire rear passenger compartment, there’s no way this is remotely affordable for the average person, and that’s not even getting into how hilariously unsafe this is (both in flight and on the ground in a crash).

Nigga you are so fucking dumb that you didnt acknowledge for how much the fuel will cost and how it can affect the environment with the gas its produce. Or have you already ready for a polluted air while sucking elon dick?

Saudi Arabia has been developing them long before musk had child number 34. He took already existing technology and poorly adapted them to the worst car since the Edsel.
