Musk spent a shit ton of spaceX funds and labor hours to pull off a 15 second stunt for Tesla which absolutely does NOT showcase any tech that will be put into the cars. If you think that means anything more than he has money to burn on publicity stunts then you're an idiot

And not just that, it’s his engineers that did this. Not him.

I was going to say: it’s not like he engineered or built it

The only thing he did is point his finger, maybe sign papers to allow funding to this "project". That's about it.

I mean how could he possibly have time to do this when he is so busy also being the worlds top path of exile and quake player?

Next, you're going to tell me we shouldn't have credited Edison.

Apparently the </saracasm> tag wasn't apparent.

Elon probably found out his drooling sycophants were losing interest and he had to get them back on his dick.

And it’s not like he is the engineer behind it. Just the money

And even the aspect that it creates downforce with a fan is not a novel idea.

This right here. Also he’s not an engineer who accomplished this. He just paid others.

the people that any of this will be in a production car need to have their mental health checked. besides this car didnt fly, and i doubt it had a full battery pack etc

Let’s just go ahead and pin this at the top please.

I don’t know how more people don’t see right through this. I mean, OK, I can admit it’s cool as fuck seeing that performance, but not realizing that it was just all a stunt. Also, if there was a live audience, how come I’m not seeing social media flooded with their recordings? Maybe it’s just me and my algorithm.

Also I think it’s important to note the context for the original quote too. She was mentioning it in regards to him being in charge of DOGE and that she felt he was too dumb to understand complex government systems. She criticized the way he was making indiscriminate cuts to programs without fully realizing their purpose, and for stupid decisions like making 19 year olds in charge of overseeing these huge government agency programs.

Hey stupid fuck. I know you hate musk. I get it. But things like this lead to new inventions. They for sure learned and created new things when doing this project.

It does help advance humans even if you think it’s stupid.

It would help advance tech if ANYTHING about it was new. The thruster system that car used looks exactly like the ones rocketry has used since your parents were in diapers lol. Nothing about that requires new technology - it just needed someone to waste the time of rocket scientists and the type of money that goes into rocketry in order to put it in something car shaped/sized. Hollywood could have done this just as easily. Do you seriously think this is a step towards street legal cars jumping over traffic jams or something? It's just a publicity stunt and it's amazing you're capable of typing while incapable of grasping that.

Hey complicit fuck, the roadster release kept getting delayed and the newest development are rockets, which nobody asked for, and still nowhere close to production readiness. Don't even get started on the street legality of this car.

FSD hasn't advanced humanity. Tesla's car design philosophy hasn't been the greatest, as there's been many reports of literal trappings from the side.

You're so right, they totally created new things by reusing technology that's existed for decades
