They know this isn’t a car for them right? I’m guessing starting price would be in the millions if they ever produce it.

How much rocket fuel did it take for that single jump?

Would any insurance company touch it? I’d say you’d never get it made legal on the roads, but he’s got a president in his pocket so maybe.

How messed up will the average non-astronaut feel after a maneuver like that? Too nauseous to carry on driving right away I’m sure.

tell us you know nothing without knowing anything. First and foremost, as was WIDELY reported, the "jets" use compressed air, NOT rocket fuel! and yes this is not likely to ever be legal on the road but that is not the point - the point is a demonstration that it CAN be done, and if the car ends up costing 250k - i doubt a person who can pay that would be like "oh i would but i can't get insurance. Shucks!"

The fact you think there is an actual car under all that... It is just a lightweight frame with some aircraft aluminium in the same of a car with a set of wheel with just enough battery to provide a few seconds of acceleration. The rest is the air compressors and compressed air thrusters. If that car were just shy of 2 tonnes that means each thruster would have to produce 500kg of thrust or near it to let it "hover to the ground" (likely more) The reality that isn't happening with 250kg of compressed air. (The number Telsa says it had) That means that car was a stunt vehicle made as light as possible.

If that made it into a "Production car" half the car would be compressed air storage and you'd get a 2-5sec burst once. That isn't a flying car. No one is going to buy that. They may build one to say they did. They may even build 5... but that isn't a real car.

yes - the one you made is so much more complete! congrats!!

and BTW - Ford built a truck that gets - if you're lucky, 100 miles range towing a trailer

Stupider things than a 'flying' car have been built!

I wouldn't make it. As it is a stupid thing to make. The fact so many white Supremacists still love Tesla openly always baffles me. Any sort of rational thinking will tell you that is just a stunt car and it will not be a production thing. I have never made a Klan Hood either. For the same reason. Don't make stupid things.
