Perhaps because President Ford was never hit.

But he was a target on two separate occasions by two women in September 1975, in California. The first was a Manson cult member, the second an FBI informant turned left-wing activist.

John Wilkes Booth wasn't even a Democrat. He belonged to the "Know Nothing Party. Also known as the "American Party".

Strongly "nativist" and anti-immigration.

Disintegrated after 1856, with remaining members drifting into the Republican Party or the Constitutional Union Party.

Yep. A DIXIECRAT, not a Democrat. There is a HUGE difference. The Democrats changed to the GOP. Dixiecrats are what MAGA are now. Anyone that waves a Confederate flag is a DIXIECRAT.
