Perhaps because President Ford was never hit.

But he was a target on two separate occasions by two women in September 1975, in California. The first was a Manson cult member, the second an FBI informant turned left-wing activist.

I hated that dumbfuck dipshit with a passion but he didn't deserve to get killed for saying stupid shit. He deserved to get ridiculed and beaten with words because that was his arena. I don't mourn him but I can't condone his murder regardless of who shot him. Just my two cents.
