I know Iām not the first to post about this but I am new to the sub after being super disappointed by the Ninja Autobarista pro and researching tips to help. The extraction is small/weak, no crema, no depth. Used so many beans already just calibrating and havenāt enjoyed a proper cup yet. Do I persevere a week and hope grindIQ will figure it out or look for an alternative?
Need something easy to use & clean, we all like different coffees so need something versatile too although we have a milk frother already so donāt need this in the machine.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Iām trying to find the finest grind position but not sure which position it should be at. On my pic, I turned the wheel clockwise as far as it went. People online mentioned turning anti-clockwise would be finest setting but that would be first bar on the left side of the grinder wheel which makes no sense to me (unless the logic is that grinding settings are rated as 1-finest; 10-coarsest).

Hey everyone!
Iām looking to buy a fully automatic bean-to-cup coffee machine and would love some recommendations from people whoāve actually used these machines long-term.
I mainly drink cappuccinos, and I like them fairly large ideally around 300 ml with a double espresso shot. Iām not looking for one of those machines that makes a tiny cappuccino and I donāt want a massive, weak, milky coffee either.
My main priorities are:
Good cappuccinos with decent milk texture and strong espresso.
Fully automatic milk frothing ideally just pressing a button rather than manually steaming milk.
Larger drink sizes, preferably with the option of a double espresso.
Good value for money Iām not interested in paying a huge premium for features I wonāt use.
Reasonably easy cleaning and maintenance.
Iām based in South Africa, and my budget is ideally under R10,000 (roughly $550ā600 USD), although Iād consider spending a little more if it makes a significant difference.
Iāve been looking at the DeāLonghi Magnifica Evo (ECAM290.61.B), which seems like a good option. From what I understand, I could use the MyLatte function and then add another espresso shot to make a larger, stronger cappuccino.
But before pulling the trigger, Iād love to hear:
Is the Magnifica Evo genuinely good value, or are there better bean-to-cup machines around this price point?
Any recommendations on models worth watching would be appreciated.
Thanks!

For context: I prefer a āCoffee Forwardā flavor. If I go to a coffee shop I almost always ask for an extra shot or double shot.
I have a Breville Barista Express that Iāve used for 5-6 years(at least).
Iāve gotten so busy in life that I am considering something simpler as in press the button and go.
It really seems like there isnāt much up to date info online and SM marketing makes every review say the machines are the absolute best so Iām turning to real people and asking for help.
My options for Super automatics that Iām considering:
KA 6 or 7
Jura ENA 8
Miele 5310 or 6360
Also looked at Phillips cafe aromis 8000
Any other recommendations are welcome, but please provide context or experience.
My budget is about $2500 USD. I could spend more if it was truly worth it but if I can get a quality machine for less Iāll take it as well.
What I want - great quality coffee output thatās consistent. I want great pulls shots with a full crema and tasty heart.
What Iāll probably purchase-
Something my wife can use when Iām not around, but that produces quality full bodied coffee. My wife isnāt the coffee connoisseur I am, nor is she tech driven as I am. She wants something that she can press a button and get a consistent cup from. She doesnāt like her coffee overly sweetened and prefers her foamed milk to have quality texture and not come out spongey. She prefers the silky mess of a good microfoam, and we know we would be sacrificing some of this for the convenience.
In the end I prefer espresso, americanos and the occasional cappuccino unsweetened. However, I enjoy making the wife her shaken espressos as well.

Yes, I realize the price difference is substantial...
I have had a Jura J5 for almost 20 years - literally - and it has been bulletproof. I have never sent it for service, and I use the water filters and cleaning tablets as directed by the machine.
I like a good espresso, but I'm certainly not a connoisseur. The rest of my family likes "milk drinks", but I always hedge on making them because of the setup and cleanup time with the J5.
So I'm considering a new superautomatic that has "ease of use", especially with regard to building milk drinks and a big plus for iced milk drinks. Of course, I still want a decent double espresso when I ask for it.
The Z10's daily cleaning process, if you use the milk system, is still pretty involved, but as I said, the one I have had for almost 20 years has treated me right, so I'm seriously leaning that way despite the price. The videos and setup of the Gaggia make it seem a lot easier to use.
Any feedback from Gaggia Cadorna Prestige owners regarding overall maintenance, quality (build and bevs produced), and longevity? It's literally 6x cheaper than the Z10!
Thanks in advance.

Budget, approx $1k USD. Refurb or other less than new ok. Region, USA. Pacific Northwest.
Long time lurker, long times super auto owner.
Started with a Seaco...then bought a delonghi magnifica ESAM3300.
This has been a warrior...reliable, something I clean and service brew group, replaced orings, etc.
We just use the espresso function. External frother, mix of normal milk, oat, cold, etc. I don't really value all the milk based things to maintain.
So Delonghi and Jura are both known to have core brew groups the same for almost the entire line. Jura seems like it will win on pure espresso taste and extraction, but delonghi isn't that far off but is easier to self service and maintain for years on my own.
I've also noticed KitchenAid getting in the mix.
Thoughts for best grind and extraction brew over all longer service life? highly prioritize just expresso shot quality and willing to consider semi auto if it buys higher quality shots and service life.

Hello guys,
As stated in the title I'm looking to buy a delonghi dinamica. Do you have any advice on picking a used item?
I found one that has been sitting for 5 years, Seller says it works fine but I'm afraid that it might leak after so long without being used due to dried out seals?
Thank you

Looking to sell my Gaggia Classic Pro and either move to a dual boiler espresso machine or a super automatic. Main reason for considering super-auto is my partner doesn't enjoy the process of using an espresso machine.
I love a good flat white, speciality coffee shop style. I mention that specifically as a lot of people who love flat whites love the Starbucks style one which is closer to a Latte than a Cortado. I've read through this sub and seen lots of references to Flat Whites and I assume people are talking about more my style of FW than a Starbucks style one but just wondering if anyone who loves the same style of FW as me could confirm whether their machine makes a solid one?
Thanks in advance for any advice! Price range wise I'm looking to spend roughly ā¬1000-ā¬2000. Happy to stretch for the right machine but don't mind going cheaper (Eletta Explore) if the machine does the job I need.
