So after ordering two leather jackets and finding them to be very high quality for the price, stuff that you would find for 600 bucks in a mall bought for 150-200. i decided to search up silk pillowcases, and they are dirt cheap, so cheap that i doubt that they are real, the reviews also seem fake since almost all of them include pictures and have very photogenic beds, and then you will find one bad review with no pictures stating it is fake and not real silk. just looking to see if anyone has went through this or knows how to spot a fake listing, because 11 bucks for a "40 momme 100% mulberry silk" pillowcase sounds absurd even for taobao prices..

Some are not full covers, but rather one side silk, the other polyester or some other material. Some are also 'covers' that you strap on with little ties. I'd suggest a closer look before you purchase.
Ice silk in the description usually indicates that it’s not real silk. I have bought real silk pillowcases from TB years ago and I still use them. But I remember back then is doing quite a bit of research and making sure that I’m buying from a reputable store (based on their score, duration of operations), that had reviews indicating the product are indeed silk.
Hah I actually had that saved as well. So if you scroll down to about halfway, there's this picture, in the blue circle it says mulberry silk 100 and polyester 100. If you scroll all the way down to the bottom, it confirms the materials again::
Haha, it's not really deceptive since it's stated outright. Pillow 'covers', not enclosing cases, are also a popular thing over there. And sorry, I don't have any on hand. But you'll be looking at stuff that's double the price for obvious reasons, in the 100rmb range. Good luck, keep an eye out for the terms "聚酯纤维", or "涤纶". Both mean polyester.
Hey, sorry to use you as a verification machine but if you are up to it I would be thankful. I think this is the one, i see nothing here that implies that it is one sided silk or mixed with polyester

Edit: the seller has confirmed it is both sides fully silk, I will buy the cheapest option from the first link and update you guys, it comes out as 20 bucks final price
Welp, it will come in about 15-30 days depending on the seller, if it’s fake I will try to refund and if they don’t accept I will try chargeback. Wish me luck guys!
Update: they have shipped my package, i noticed something in their description aswell, apparently they are the manufacturer to two separate brands on amazon for mulberry silk pillowcases, roseward and yanibest, those two brands have OKEOTEX certificates so it is highly likely that this is real silk, i will still be testing this pillowcase.
also one thing some of you might point out if you have bought silk before, alot of silk pillowcases may be 20 bucks but this is 22momme which is rare if not impossible at this price point, at best you will find 19momme which also costs more than 20 bucks on amazon most of the time.
I ordered mulberry silk pyjamas and they were polyester. They had a label that claimed they were 100% silk but I did the burn test and everything and they were totally fake. So personally I am not going to trust products that claim to be silk again.
Thought so, too good to be true, leather is dirt cheap but marked up in the western market for craftsmanship and brand, silk is just expensive in general

Well, as a 5’9 guy I had to buy a 3xl, but that is mostly because my shoulder width is 53cm, their sizing charts are accurate, after receiving my b3 I measured and they are one to one, if you don’t see a chart on one on of their jackets just ask and they will send.
Highly recommend measuring yourself before buying, the seller will try to give you one based on weight but your bone structure matters more
yes i got one from taobao that is real silk on one side and cotton on the other. i agree that the results were a bit confusing when i was looking for mine, a lot of the images are fake. i still absolutely love it though and it is great for £5 or £6. in fact i reckon it will last longer than the fully silk one i got years ago (it ended up ripping after a couple of years, and i mostly washed it by hand) as the edges are stronger with the cotton.
