Venting How do you cope with trauma(read description)

When I was in a psychiatric hospital (against my will) and a female nurse watched me get dressed (I was a 14 year old boy when this happened) I hated it and I talked with my lawyer about it but turns out it was entirely legal to do this

That was her job, she had to do it to stop you harming yourself or causing harm to others. I'm not sure if you're dealing with trauma, or if is it just Extreme Embarrassment. Both are healable, it's not about coping, it's about coming to terms with you being controlled by someone else (legally and with justified reasons) in that moment, for whatever the situation (doesn't matter.)

Your autonomy and privacy were taken away, but you were still a minor AND in a vulnerable situation, with a present, trained, and certified professional in an appropriate environment. It's hard to grapple with, but honestly doable, as the consequences were damaging only to your ego and autonomy. Which as you get older, you have to kill your ego anyway as nurses will be taking care of you in even more embarrassing situations! We're all about privacy until someone has to wipe our ass after a major surgery preventing us from doing so ourself.

So...yeah, this sounds like - **from the little you've mentioned,** an ego bruise that simply needs feeling through and out, rather than a trauma of extreme proportions that will require therapist for the next 5 years!
