Question No prof yet?
hi everybody, hope all is well before the fall term at uw
just wanted to ask if this is normal? I have profs for every other course except this one and wanted to know when I would know my profs for calc (especially since im not too great at calc) and want to practice a bit
thanks so much for the response, have a good day/night

Brotha it doesn’t matter, just wait till the term starts and study hard when it does. It isn’t that big of a deal the curriculum is the same regardless of the prof for these first year courses.

This almost definitely means it's going to be a grad student, I would suggest switching to Dan or Owen's lectures if possible (I checked and they have a couple open). I took this class with a grad student and then took 128 with Dan, it felt more then 10x easier and we could actually ask questions and get answers. I'm not saying all grad students are going to be bad I've just had a bad experience, but more than that someone like Dan or Owen have a ton of experience teaching which the grad students can't possibly have.

If you can, switch over to Dan's lecture once your instructors are announced

Sessional instructors at Waterloo recently unionized, and fall term is the first term implementing the new bargaining agreement provisions. First year math is especially impacted since so many first year math courses are taught by sessional instructors. Just be patient while they sort it out.
