Question Good date places around waterloo?
Fancy - casual restaurant recs? And if I need to reserve?
Other spots great to go for dates? That I can plan

Bauer Kitchen- fancier but accessible by ion (and you can walk back to campus if dinner goes well, it’s a nice stroll through uptown and then Waterloo park around the lake)

Depends what you're going for. There's an Italian place on King just north of Columbia called Ennio's that's been there forever and was a good sit-down date spot. Phõ over at Ben Thanh on Northfield. Jane Bond is really good, and vegetarian.

Ennios has the worst ambiance for a date night. Unless they’ve done some kind of a major Reno since I was last there. 🫤

Jane Bond is cute to go for a something to eat, and a drink. They also have DJ nights.

Solé Uptown - fancy and on the pricier side so it’s nice for an anniversary/special occasion. Also Champa Kitchen for southeast asian food.

A great place lowkey is the original bingsu on king st uptown as either the main spot or the dessert after the dinner. Because the portions sizes are so big you’re bound to share one order and they have small tables. So it can be surprisingly intimate
