No matter how many times I have seen it, I still don’t know how Ken knew Raquel had been at Sandoval’s. Was that ever explained? Obviously I missed it.

First time watcher, this whole trip is such a mess. Rachel is so annoying and weird. I love Katie but I do think she escalated the situation with Oliver, continuing to bring it up when Lala clearly gave Rachel the go ahead. But then for Rachel to be getting so offended at that when she knows she’s doing it with Tom and Ariana! This clip is crazy, the whole part of the night where they’re saying they wouldn’t trust her around a boyfriend and Rachel being upset by that .. she felt exposed fs. I wonder if that’s why she had her panic attack in the car too. Crazy mess omg.

Kristen Doute and who I believe is Tina?? (correct me if I'm wrong) at Pandora's batchelorette party in S2 ep15 of RHoBH.

I've attached all the photos I could manage to get (would be a lot easier if I could upload videos to reddit) but I didnt realise that Kristen and Pandora were that close pre-VPR

Never noticed them before but I usually skip all episodes with Brandi so that might be why lol

OG Cast Katie’s face card

Post image
259 Upvotes

can we all agree that Katie (especially post-Schwartz Katie) is one of the most BEAUTIFUL people ever?! her face is absolutely drop dead gorgeousssss!!! Lisa said it once early on in the show that Katie is the prettiest of the group, and i think she’s so right! katie is 10/10.

she really has such a beautiful face and i truly love her with short hair! it suits her sooo well, her face card never declines 💜

EDIT: OBVIOUSLY this post is hyperbolic yall omg 😭 the world is full of billions of people, many of whom are beautiful, katie included.

Rewatching vanderpump because the world is on fire and just noticed that Ariana is one of Scheana's back up dancers for her performance! Never noticed this before and pretty happy to have caught it this time. Sorry if this has been posted before! Also apologies for the horrible screen grab!

Discussion Girls Vegas trip season 10. Mean girls at its finest.

(I am a first time watcher. I did not like the way rachel acted at the Vegas dinner, but then again it was heavily edited I couldn’t actually see how she reacted to katie and her mom.) ANYWAY….

Regardless of anything prior to this episode or after this episode… the mean girl activity during this episode was gross as fuck. It put a real bad taste in my mouth. I had to stop the episode. It gave me flashbacks. They were so damn mean and hypocritical. They ganged up on her, shamed her for drinking, and for kissing a guy that lala didn’t care much abt. Mind you, this is something they all have or would have done. They are all sitting on the same side of the bed, looking disgusted that she’s eating after a night out? Making fun of her lights and music:,( she is newly single and wants to party all night. So what? Nothing that they all haven’t done before. Only difference is they are judging her while she is tryna have a good time alone still.

I read some article of Kristina tryna to blame it all on the producer. Honey baby, yall did the deed regardless and were mean as fuck. I never ever liked Kristina, she is a fucking follower. She stirs the pot to feel more relevant in the group, just like she did with Stassi in the earlier seasons. The new Amazon show Carrie shows a perfect example of this with Chris and Tina at that party. Katie has also been acting like a mean girl the last few season, I would recognize it, but attempted the ignorance is bliss card lol. Well… can’t now damn it. This was only abt 3 yrs ago too :/ ppl do change but that was just gross.

OG Cast 🤬🤬 - Schwartzy "Oh wait no, come back!" - Schwartzy

From my original watching of VPR, I loved Schwartz. I truly fell for his "aw shucks" persona but I was also a teen lol.

Rewatching now I see how terrible he can be - pouring drinks on girls, "this is what we don't have sex", etc.

Every time he would argue with Katie and she would walk away (before and after divorce) he would say "Oh wait not, Bubba come back" with like no force but just playing his last play.

I'm on season 10 and he just did that with Lala. He was calling her vile things and then as she walks away "Oh no Lala wait come back, you're a great mom" and then proceeds to eat a chicken wing.

It's like he "begs" for them to return immediately just so he can say he did it

Discussion billie’s game of telephone s6

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

hey group first time watcher. this moment came up and it was kind of annoying how billie misrepresented what stassi and kristen said here. i am by no means trying to defend kristen and stassi here because they have done plenty of messed up stuff, but i think they were being genuine (or at least trying to be) in saying watch out this guy is creepy. they said more than he’s tried to date everyone. and now lala and scheana think they’re being bitchy! ugh! i hate when people do this irl so it was funny to see it happen on a reality show lol. did anyone else clock this or have thoughts on it?

*edit: i have siblings and if someone told me that my sibling was being creepy or anything else i would talk to them first and be like wtf are you doing and fight with them to get the truth, especially as the older sibling. but in that same vein understand why she was defending her brother

Shitpost I hate Kristen

First time watcher here, currently on season 8. I cannot stand Kristen!!!! she repeats what people say instead of responding, she’s so delusional and has no grasp of reality imo. She was a nightmare with tom and James but the only time she’s ever been bearable was when she was single and had stassi as a roommate. She was for sure drunk but she minded her own business and really didn’t bother me. With Carter- back to being a nightmare. I can’t with her and I need to understand why people stan mariposa so hard

Btw I have nothing nice to say about any of the men she was with!! This post is only about Kristen!

Rewatch Discussion Vanderpump and Todd act like that employing people is charity

Lisa vanderpump acting as if employing people is some charitable act is so annoying. She constantly tells people she should be respected (read worshipped) because she gave them a job, she signs their checks, she gave them opportunities, she “had your back when you did not have a pot to
Piss in” excuse me??

As if she is giving them free money and has not been taking advantage of them. She is delusional. You employ people sign their pay check and get their hours and skills in return to run your business and earn a profit to fund your lifestyle. Acting as if she picked someone off the street and gave them a new life is crazy.

Yes, VPR cast made a reality TV career because of her connections but she did not do the show out of kindness of her heart, she also benefitted from it.

Rewatch Discussion Scheana season 10&11.

It’s my 5th rewatch yet every time I’m re- disgusted. I need to hear some logic from Scheana apologists and/or if production has a hand in how she was acting. Season 10 Scheana is so incredibly insufferable and POOR KATIE!! I genuinely can’t comprehend HOW she took the stances she did. Was it production? Was it her? I’d love to hear peoples opinions! (Disclaimer: I recognize these are real people, this posts is just to start conversation about season 10&11 events regarding Scheana)

Discussion What was with all the James Kennedy apologists after season 7?

First time watcher, I just finished season 7 and the reunion. The reunion was absolutely brutal but great TV and I needed to see what fans' reactions were at the time, especially to James Kennedy's pathetic performance - not only in the reunion but throughout the season. I've despised James since season 4 at the latest and expected that to be widespread. However, 20 minutes of searching and I come to find out that the prevailing opinion on Reddit at the time was that James was just a victim of his circumstances, a small bean who was simply provoked into his behaviour by the evil older cast members.

For example, this post had 1000x more vitriol for Brittany than James...??? Yeah, Brittany absolutely became increasingly annoying as the season progressed. But the contrast between the hate she received from reddit fans for being annoying and having a weird laugh, and the coddling love and protection James got whilst being an objectively terrible human being is very unsettling to me. People say he was "ganged up on" but I think that's to be expected when you, on countless occasions over the last 5 seasons, say absolutely disgusting things about every single cast member (especially the women), burn all your bridges, refuse to ever own up or take any real accountability and then cry and moan like a battered victim over the consequences. Even as Sandoval was bizarrely defending James with his life, James can't help but insult Sandoval, which is a recurring theme. He is completely incapable of being a true friend to anyone, nobody feels any loyalty to him and rightfully so. Katie did go too far with the "boohoo your parents are divorced" comment but that doesn't even scratch the surface of the appalling things James says and does almost every episode.

Just a completely vile and insufferable human being. And I say all this just within the context of seasons 3-7 because it has been very obvious that James Kennedy is scum of the earth since season 4 at the latest. So I was pretty fucking disturbed when I saw how many fans at the time were coddling and enabling him. I'm trying to avoid all the details, but given his somewhat recent arrest, what I can say is that his true character was blatantly on display throughout his entire tenure on the show. I have never been less surprised that someone is a woman beater. If you liked him at any point prior to his arrest then I think you might be a really poor judge of character.

Can anyone who fell for James Kennedy's non-existent charm at the time please explain your perspective. Him having a bad family life is obviously not a good excuse for his never ending abusive and insufferable childlike behaviour.

I've seen that he goes through somewhat of a "redemption arc" in the coming seasons (I'm sure due to selective and favourable editing courtesy of LVP) and I'm very much not looking forward to the show trying to make this scumbag more likeable. But it seems like a lot of fans here never had an issue with liking James in the first place.

Discussion Jax & Brittany theory

Okay I have a theory surrounding the whole Jax and Brittany situation unfolding currently.

So in some twisted way I feel like Jax has always been envious of Tom Sandoval and quote on quote “success”. Jax is also known to be clinically insane. Now when the whole Scandoval situation went down it blew up and people who had never heard of Sandoval knew him for cheating with his girlfriend’s best friend. At the time everyone hated him but bad publicity is still publicity. Then as time went on Tom started getting offered different TV series opportunities like the traitors and what not. Now tom Sandy is all over tik tok and the comment sections are full of “why do I hate that I king of liked him in this” or “why is he kind of funny”. Although it was for all the wrong reasons the scandal shot him into the limelight.

This is where Jax and his twisted mind comes into play. Jax clearly knows he is quickly losing his opportunities in the entertainment realm and is clinging to his cameos for dear life. He is now over his relationship with his wife. What do him and his publicist do? They start a relationship. They get pictured out and about. Now all of a sudden everyone is talking about this relationship that Jax is having with a woman that was clearly extremely close with his ex-wife (In parallel to Sandoval cheating with Ariana’s bff). Ex-wife explains in an interview that throughout this time her ex-husband was getting info about her relationships and what she was doing from the publicist because she was confiding in her the whole time (in parallel with Raquel asking Ariana questions about her and Tom’s sex life/relationship) He now is posting all of these “silly goofy” tik toks trying to display himself as this super likeable guy (in parallel to sandovals apology tour). In hopes that he will then start getting offers the way that Sandoval did. I think this was his great idea to get his mojo back and be the star it desperately wants to be.

Basically all in all I think Jax is mega calculated and so is a publicist that could hide a relationship if she fucking wanted to but got pictured in a swimming pool with the number one guy in the group.

Rewatch Discussion Rewatch: Brock

Brock omg.. I know this has been discussed at lengths in this subred but Im watching the season where Rachel/ Raquel and James get engaged and the fact he tried to stage a proposal at their engagement party?? As well as trying to get Randall and Lala to cover the bill for the failed proposal/ movie premiere. He’s so sketchy and such a bum… Just had to air my feelings out because it’s genuinely absurd.

OG Cast Potentially Unpopular Opinion and RHOBH reference crossover

Thumbnail
gallery
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone.

I’m an on and off watcher of VPR (mainly rewatching my comfort earlier seasons) and I’ve yet to reach Scandoval but know the jist. I as a result have not seen the FINAL ‘character development’ of said characters, but from what I’ve seen I have a potentially unpopular opinion to share.

I’m aware of how the general public discuss that they particularly love Katie and on a lesser level Kristen - I’m all for their inner and outer glow-up after ditching their toxic respective baggage’s, but early on they were absolutely horrible people and I don’t know how their behaviour was defendable. They were just SO rude at times, and yes alcohol was free flowing, but I feel they did not get called out on it enough, especially when it was directed at Scheana, who I viewed as an occasional pick-me but never inherently nasty. When Katie goes on a drunk rampage directed at Stassi (and Kristen) she starts crying and stating that she hates herself, but no apparent remorse for Scheana.

I reference the RHOBH crossover because genuinely I liken the way they used to dog on Scheana, specifically the scene that led to Katie referencing mY bOyFrIeNd iS sTiCkInG uP fOr tHe wHoRe is honestly no different than Kyle and Kim in RHOBH dogging on Brandi and calling her a slut pig. It’s just downright nasty and unjustified.

Please note, I am not referencing Katie’s weasel of an ex as a means to excuse her behaviour. This is purely about the girl on girl interactions. Although I am aware that with Doute, the lines get blurred because her awful behaviour may have been influenced by her ulterior relationship with Jax vis a vis her relationship with Stassi and awful attitude towards Stassi in S1.

Thoughts?

Discussion Audience assuming the cast has changed based on social media

Has anyone else noticed that when previous villainous cast members aren’t on tv for a while, the audience watches their social media and thinks that they’ve changed/grown up/etc? But when they get back on tv, people are like, they haven’t changed at all?! And it becomes clear that these people are the same as they have always been. Why does the audience always assume that people who are 35+ years old with some level of fame, ever really evolve and change? Will we ever learn that social media isn’t real?
